Of all the options of where to stay in the area, put this at the bottom of your list. We had read bad reviews about this place, including one where the customers had gotten bed bug bites. But the website was so awesome and the locations so good, I guess we just refused to accept the reviews. But once we arrive we realized that we had made a mistake.
The hotel is not a hotel at all, but an adequate B&B. And the spa is nothing more than a converted room where services are brought in from local salons on an as needed basis. When we realized our mistake we decided to make the best of it as we were looking forward to our get away weekend. We didn't need to spend much time at the hotel after all. But when we were ready to leave, I contacted the Innkeeper by voice mail and email asking for an invoice, an accounting of our stay. I never received it, only a bunch of charges showed up on my credit card. When I forced the issue of getting an invoice, what I got instead was a unbelievable voicemail from the Innkeeper, Helen, saying that I was a horrible person who was threatening and harrassing her and trying to rip her off.
All I wanted was an invoice....WHOA!
I read other reviews that indicated that she was not responsive and impossible to work with. I wish I had taken them as fact as I now know they are true.
Wish I had moved on and stayed somewhere else.
