Good brews 8/26/2006

The Royal Oak Brewery has 4-5 brews on tap. I sampled 3 of them, and they were very taste. My favorite was the Pale. Their menu is quite extensive, especially for a brewery. More than just your average sandwiches and soups. I had a delicious salmon sandwich, with fries. Definitely give it a try. more

Unique Bar Food 4/11/2006

The brewery is owned by a company that also owns other restaurants in the metro area. They have really great food, especially for a bar. People seem to love the beer and cheese soup. They've got great pasta dishes and really good pizzas too. They also brew their own beer. The beer is really good and they make enough varieties to please everyone - pale ale to dark amber. The beer is pretty expensive (I think about $13/pitcher) and the food is about average in terms of cost. They have a beer garden open in the summer and big screen tv's inside for sporting events. Definitely a great place for food AND drink. more
