A great restaurant diner to remember what life was like in small town America. Family owned, I love the non-matching coffee mugs like my Grandmother is serving me breakfast. Single men eating breakfast at the bar some talking to the waitress behind the bar, others nose deep in a newspaper with a coffee in hand. Leave a cash tip because just like Steinbeck's travels this America Diner is cash only. One thing I wish I could change is having it in shopping plaza with Office Depot. If you want more up to date that takes plastic you can find it on any corner. If you wanna spend more than $1.65 on endless coffee go to Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. If you want to shoe kids what a breakfast Diner used to look like, then please visit. more

What's the deal with this places popularity? It's the after church no taste bud crowd. Thinnest toast and smallest eggs in the history of the world. Stop putting up kids coloring. It's goofy. Last time I was there was 05-06. I'm five years clean and sober from Royal Cafe.\r \r CASH ONLY??? Huge thumbs down on that\r \r Don't bother more

It certainly gives you a taste of what life is like in South Florida. A very seasonal restaurant that is packed when the snowbirds are in town - tough to get a seat for lunch during the week or anything on the weekend.\r \r I love their Chicken Salad with Pineapple and Cheese on Grilled Raisin Bread. Sounds really weird but tastes great! The peach cobbler is also really good - when they have it.\r Good place to get breakfast - eggs, waffles, pancakes are all good. Prices are about $6-$10 per person.\r \r I think it's lame they only take cash - get with the rest of the world and take cards! more
