If you love the venue enough, the Red Fern is worth it ONLY IF YOU'RE SUPER ORGANIZED. Otherwise, STAY CLEAR.
Sue Meyer is a pain. I had to start writing everything down because she messed up EVERYTHING, including my entire wedding invoice, let the staff to take my favors away, messed up my taste testing orders, etc. I had to constantly remind her and correct her with things. I talked to her for about an hour on final details when we were taste testing. At the end of the convo she asked if I was having my ceremony there! Um, hello, we talked about it the entire conversation. She was MIA during my rehearsal and showed up RIGHT before the ceremony started. I couldn't even take pictures with my bridesmaids with the fireplace on because she hadn't arrived yet. Only the groomsmen got pictures in front of it with the fire. She is no help. I think I saw her twice during the reception. I should have listened to the reviews on her. They were all true, she is awful and you can tell she only cares about taking your money.
I had many complaints on the staff from my guests saying they were being very unhelpful during the reception. Apparently the staff took plates away before guests were even finished with their meal! UNACCEPTABLE. We LOVED the bartender Patty though!
If you are organized to a T, can deal with Sues forgetfulness, and constantly deal with correcting her, go for it. Otherwise, go some place else. I ended up having a blast because my DJ (Madd Maxx) was awesome and the food is delicious.
