Best Breakfast Place in Littleton 4/7/2011

We always have to wait but it's worth the wait as they really know how to make a nice breakfast. That being said, I do think it's slightly overpriced unless you share items family style. But we always enjoy being there and love the food. Wish we didn't have to wait so long on weekends because that is usually the reason we end up deciding NOT to go there. You have to go very early on a weekend to get right in or have minimal wait but we will definitely keep it as our favorite breakfast spot! more

Worth waking up early for 10/15/2009

My whole family despise waking up early but this place makes it bearable. Everything we have tried has been spot on and better than anything grandma can whip up. Sometimes on the weekend they even have free coffee while you wait (and wait you will if you don't go early!). Yummy yum yum. Pros: Pancakes & Waffles more

Breakfast done very well 2/15/2009

Imagine a Denny's/Village Inn/Perkins where the service is better and the place is a bit cleaner and the atmosphere is a bit lighter. Then layer a perfect breakfast on top of that, and you have the Pancake House. I am fanatical about several things here. The coffee is unfussy but good. The fresh squeezed orange juice. Consistently better than most fresh squeezed; is good even when oranges aren't in season. The pecan pancakes with the delightful tropical syrup (better than the pure maple syrup, even). The real whipped cream. Perfectly ripe fresh fruit. Bacon and eggs that are always cooked perfectly. Never undercooked, never undercooked. That kind of consistency is very, very rare, from my observations. Lastly, the 'dutch baby' on the memu is actually a 'pannekoeken' -- which I am obsessed with from travelling to Minnesota. Delicious eggy pancake that comes to your table hot and puffed up several inches from the steam built up while baking... yum. And the apple version is even better. Pros: Perfect fried eggs. Pancakes are superb Cons: Others disagree -- but I dislike the baked omelettes more

Great Breakfast Place 10/12/2007

A fun place for breakfast, friendly service, a wide variety of choices from baked apple pancakes the size of a souffle, to delicate crepes or hearty bacon and eggs. Quarters are close, so don't expect much privacy, but bring the kids, you'll have a great time and a full stomach. more

Potato Pancakes and Crepes to Die For 1/1/2007

What a wonderful discovery for a breakfast restaurant. It was our time today and we'll be back. The lines are long but move quickly. The menu is extensive and the French Toast, Crepes and Potato Pancakes are nothing but outstanding. In spite of being very busy this morning (New Year's day) the food and the service was excellent and we were not rushed out the door. We will try the East Belleview location next time since it is closer to us. Pros: Great Food and service Cons: Very Busy more

Best pancakes!!! Any kind you can think of they have it here! 7/15/2006

Got to try the patty sausage and the german pancakes. The swedish pancakes are great too! If you like fresh squeezed juice they have some great choices as well. Pros: great for family atmosphere Cons: Busy on Sunday (which is a good sign) more

Try them during the week 5/16/2005

It was so loud on a Sunday morning we couldn't hear each other. Lot's of noisy kids. Had trouble getting a second cup of coffee. The food was great. I'd come back, but not on a weekend. Pros: Food Cons: Noisy, Service more

They know their pancakes! 9/16/2004

Ah...to start your morning right you need to have a cup of coffee and a heaping plate of pancakes from this place. Sometimes the wait can be long but so what? It's actually worth the wait! Pros: Breakfast, Coffee more

Very Impressive 5/22/2004

While visiting our son he took us to one of the greatest places in Denver for breakfast. The apple starter was wonderful...Had to take a picture of this. The omelets were out of sight..The mexican sauce that adorned it was spectular.. As for the service non to compare. No wonder it's a popular place.. Tyler Texas sure could support one of these. Most are all chains...Lots of room for an upgrade to our growing city. Pros: Service was very effi more

Best of Breakfasts 3/5/2003

I cannot understand why this is not number one. The Original Pancake House has the best and most diversified menu around. Where else can you get buckwheat pancakes? Their service may not get a ten (10), but this is because the place is so popular, they are always busy. However, they do their best to get you seated as soon as they can. Pros: Diversified Menu, Resonably Priced, Delicious Food Cons: Crowded more

good food 12/2/2002

great food, had to wait over an hour to get in, but worth the wait. more

Great breakfast spot! 11/14/2002

Large portions and great value - that's why I recommend the Original Pancake House! My wife and I are going today - can't wait to eat breakfast!!! Pros: Inexpensive, Good locations Cons: Close seating more

Food Great Service Sloooow 11/14/2002

I found the food great, serving size good, service very slow. They did not seem to have enough staff for the amount of customers. The staff seemed to be confused. Coffee cups were not refilled. Pros: Good food Cons: Poor service, Crowded more

Best Breakfast in Tech Center 11/7/2002

Simply the best - regardless of your breakfast tastes, they'll deliver what your taste buds need to start the morning off right. more

Better food in the barracks 10/28/2002

If you like a mess-hall style and cool whip instead of whip cream then this is the place for you. Oh by the way, chocolate chip pancakes are SUPPOSED to have the chips in them not thrown on top. Cons: cool whip, mess hall style more

Yummy 7/31/2002

Excellent food. Good service. Long lines on the weekend though. You have to try the apple pancake or the sour dough pancakes. They are wonderful! Pros: tasty food, great service, prepared fast Cons: long lines, gets pricey more

Downright Delicious 7/29/2002

The only pancake house I've ever been to where I can eat a considerable amount, yet not feel absolutely awful afterward nor regretful that I ate the food. This is also my 6-year old daughter's all-time favorite restaurant, and the only place she cleans her plate. The wait on a typical weekend morning is tough - especially in the hot sun. We sometimes feel a bit rushed by the staff to wrap it up (b/c other patrons are perpetually waiting). But most of the wait staff is genuinely OK, and nice/attentive to kids. One of the hostesses looks like Gwyneth Paltrow with shorter hair (and how can she given she works in a pancake house that routinely slabs on silver dollar-sized dollops of butter?!). Pros: Fabulous pancakes, Fabulous French Toast, Fresh squeezed OJ Cons: A bit expensive, Sometimes rushed, Long waits more

best bacon ever 7/23/2002

I have a bit of a bacon problem, and the OPH has quite possibly the best bacon in the history of bacon! Pros: bacon, more bacon, and more bacon Cons: long wait for table more

survey says! - ehhhhhhh... 7/23/2002

Overpriced, long waits, slow service (but very polite!), mediocre food. ""An exercise in breakfast artistry""(???) I think our reviewer hasn't woke up yet - oh, right, he must of drank their coffee. Save yourself while you can, go to the Egg and I. more
