I have been very satisfied so far with the Nutrition Clinic. In my first week I lost almost 5 lbs and have lost consistantly since then. They monitor your diet and exercise and give a prescription based on your needs. I was put on Tenuate, which has worked well for me and was allowed to choose weight watchers as my eating plan. The clinic is extremely busy and your first appt will take some time because they do a battery of tests to make sure you're healthy. (EKG, thyroid, cholesterol - in some cases I've heard sonograms) Thereafter, the appts are about 10 min. You go every week for the first month and then can go once a month. Though I have never actually seen Dr Gupta, the staff is knowledgable and friendly and I feel comfortable there. In the past, I tried the Jorie Clinic in Oakbrook and was not satisfied with the program, or the fact that they prescribe phentermine for everyone and do not do any tests. \r
If you're really serious about dropping some lbs this is a great place to start. it is not as cheap as a place like Jorie ($55 a month) The first appt is around $200 if you have no insurance and $55 a week thereafter, but so far for me, it's been worth it! (they do accept insurance if you're lucky enough to have it)
Pros: Results! Staff knowledge, plan flexibility, aim for permanent change
Cons: Never seen the doctor, only his PA, not cheap if you have no insurance
