ATTENTION ANYONE WHO HAS RECENT STORM DAMAGE & for those who were effected we are so sorry and wish you all the best ... so...AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I contracted with the company to install a new roof over the family room-- this was covered by homeowner's insurance due to heavy snow damage. I do not have a new roof.. the tarp was so poorly installed caused damage - other roofers could not comprehend - company's irresponsibility shocking... Owner uses ""I am your best friend approach"" &I know and see more than other roofers-- can quote from emails he sent before hired! His company would save us ""thousands of dollars"" ""value"" they can offer the customer -- actual value lies in fabricating hail damage & hoping insurance companies will buy into it... was not happy when realized this - do not want new roof based on fabrication. Part of the roof did have legitimate damage from heavy snow.
Family emergency in TX - even difficult to find out if they put up tarp -- pulling teeth to get them to return calls, emails or messages left with their answering service. Insurance covered so further damage curtailed- ceiling already falling down.... new roof needed asp. Left Sunday was told work would begin Wed...why I hired them - others could not start for a few weeks --- many weeks shocked by all the time that had passed, our desperate pleas for responses to emails, calls ignored...and...the owner,Joe Ward, was for some bizarre reason unaware that the insulation had to go in first!! (the roof would have had to be removed if installed without putting in insulation). So my husband ...and Joe Ward agreed to email an informal Scope of Work - protection for his company and customer. I had spoken with Ken the project manager & good man -- no problem regarding installing insulation he would begin work the following day and call us from the job site.
.Rather than Joe emailing the Scope of Work, a Fed X letter arrived stating we could not agree on the Scope of Work and check of deposit minus over $400 for ""a tarp & emergency repair""...what? First, we contracted with the company for the installation of a new roof not a tarp.Roofers usually include the tarp as part of their work and what the charge is for a tarp is not the issue here. The issue is we did not contract with this company for a tarp, nor did we ever disagree with the Scope of Work. It was clearly defined by Nationwide and by us - especially the day he came to pick up his almost $1000deposit! I am sorry to be so wordy but I am exhausted from travel and from this incident, the money lost and the time wasted... and we have NEVER had a problem with any company, or those who have done work on our homes.
Here is what I wrote in another review :
If a company breaks a contract -- uses your funds in ways not authorized by the customer so you loose money... if you want to bang your head against the wall trying to reach the owner - use this company. My experience with this company began by being told I had hail damage and that my entire roof would get covered by homeowner's except that no hail storm passed through my area during this period . Owner gave me a business card that does not have current cell, he does not ever pick up answering service messages, never answers emails(not in timely way).AVOID AVOID AVOID
