VERY ANGRY about this order! $40 in charges got a cupcake sized "meatloaf", forgotten salad, a couple scoops of tasteless 'Garlic potatoes', and three little bites of 'loafies', no bigger than a child's finger. We were expecting enough for two, this was less than enough for -ONE-. more

Just as all of the other reviews state (had I read them first I would not have ordered), the portions are criminally small hence the 1 star. I ordered the flight of 3 loafies, literally 1 bite each. The Mac & cheese is the size of a regular size cupcake. The greens and things salad was the only item that wasn't barbie doll sized. $33 later and I am still hungry. Although the food is delicious, these people should be arrested for their portion vs. pricing. Won't order from here again. more

The food was good. BUT, it took 1 hour 45 minutes to get oir food. I spent $32; what I got was 2 cupcake sized meatloaves and 2 potato patties. WAY WAY overpriced!!! I will not return more

Nice meatloaves, but overpriced. Somewhat recommended. more

Meatloaf Cupcakes! Great Idea 10/11/2009

My daughter, granddaughter, and I were in Chicago yesterday (October 10). Included in our plans for the day was a visit to The Meatloaf Bakery, located at 2464 N. Clark. If you haven't sampled their wonderful meatloaf cupcakes, you are missing a treat. I bought three different flavors and ate the Loaf-a-Roma when I arrived home. Tastes just like spaghetti and meatballs. It was wonderful. I did not use the extra marinara sauce that was provided. I didn't feel that it was needed.\r \r The names for the different flavors are a hoot. Lentil Yentil?? That's for the veggie version.\r \r They have a case with cold drinks. One brand is Crayon. Of course, I picked the green lemon/lime. (Those who know me know my passion for Crayola Crayons.) There is also a selection of Coke products and a variety of waters.\r \r The store is quite clean, the staff warm and friendly. She had a great idea and I hope enough people take advantage so that she can expand...slow but steady.\r \r The prices are a little high, but then we're Hoosiers not used to Chicago pricing. Doesn't matter. The food is worth every penny.\r \r If you have the opportunity to visit downtown Chicago, make this small side trip and visit. Pros: Wide variety of flavors Cons: Drawbacks...I don't live in Chicago, or in Illinois more

yummy in my tummy! :) 10/9/2009

My coworker showed me the website a few weeks ago for meatloaf bakery, and since then it has been on my mind. Determined to try the place that sells 'cupcakes' with spaghetti on top, i was sold when i saw the adorable pictures online. so this evening my fiance and i stopped in and it was amazing! we were greeted by the one of the friendly staff members, were able to speak to the owner as well and enjoy sample sizes of the popular items while we decided which cupcake would come home with us! :) there are great options that are filled with flavor and look adorable! we decided on the A WING AND A PRAYER and the LAMB A LICIOUS! these were both unbelievably good, and we are both satisfied and already talking about when we can go again! :) Definitely will go back again and can not wait to bring friends for them to share the experience too! thank you meatloaf bakery! you made our night delicious! :) xoxo Pros: great tasting, sweet staff, adorable storefront Cons: none- more

Meatloaf like you've never tasted before 9/24/2009

When The Meatloaf Bakery opened I became an immediate fan. (Okay, full disclosure, I know the owner.) BUT...I was overwhelmed by the tastes of these unique meatloaves--and by the meticulous preparation and presentation. This is a must-try venue for anyone looking for an upscale version of a taste of childhood. Won't find this anywyere else. And don't overlook the sides, either, please! Pros: Unique...tasty...and a taste for the eyes, too Cons: I don't live in Chicago anymore more

Fabulous find 9/23/2009

Perfect place to pick up a full meal. A well-conceived and unique idea that works because of terrific flavor, wide variety of meatloaf choices, and great extras to go with. Everything is so fresh. A delightful little shop, and great addition to the Chicago food scene. Pros: great taste and selection, fresh, fun Cons: wish was closer to my house more

Amazing Meatloaf 9/23/2009

I love this place! I'm way to lazy to make meatloaf and it reminds me of mom's, if only she was a gourmet cook. The Mother Loaf and Omega-3 Loaf are incredible. Pros: Wonderful variety more

Awesome meatloaf 9/22/2009

Try the bacon cheddar burger meatloaf or the Italian loaf. They are out of this world! Pros: Creative and delicious Cons: Not much room to sit more
