had Lasik done back in June and I was told I'd be an excellent candidate. At first my eyes were corrected to 20/20 after a few months my eyes healed and my vision settled at 20/50 and I technically need glasses to drive. I paid for the lifetime correction plan and went to see the doctor because I was told any enhancements to correct my vision were covered, the doctor refused saying it wasn't enough of a correction to warrant an additional surgery. So I basically paid $3,000 to still wear glasses. Corrections to eye sight within 1 year were supposed to be covered also even without their bs ""Lifetime enhancement plan"". This place is a ripoff. A lawsuit will be filed soon. more

At first I was very excited about getting the procedure done because I thought my eyes were to bad to qualify. The day they told me I was a good candidate I was so happy... As I talked to the sales rep she informed me of a life plan for future enhancements in case I needed a re-touch. The day I went in for the procedure I was very happy, thinking I would finally be free from glasses. The performed the procedure and although I was in pain I was still happy.. Then the optometrist inserted some tear thing in my eye to help keep my eyes moist, as she was doing it she managed to poke me in the eye with the tweezers then blamed me for moving, well usually when something hurts you move.. That was only the beginning of the frustration for me. The following week I went back for my 1 week checkup. The drive for me was an hour, but I wasnt to worried about it until I got into the office. At which point I waited 45 minutes for them to tell me that the doctor called out sick, so I drove all that way for nothing and had to waste more time and money driving back the next day. As time progressed my eyes started to get better, after 3 weeks I had 20/25 vision which for me was a plus. Then I started to run out of meds, only to go in for another appointment to receive a prescription to buy the meds.. To top it all off they managed to forget to give me one of the prescriptions.... After 3 months my eyes started to feel good but I noticed my vision was getting slightly blurry.. On my next appointment the doctor told me my eyes regressed but that was normal for far-sidedness, then she continued to tell me that she needed to dielate my eyes. So as I was patiently waiting one of the receptionist/opto assistance came to me and said I was good to go. At which point I told her the dr. had dielated my eyes. Then I could hear the assistant tell the dr. that the surgeon doesnt need my eyes dielated, I could hear the doctor tell the assistant not to worry about it and she would just do a quick exam of my eyes.. The exam she did was completely pointless and a waste of my time, it took all of 1 minute. She then told me I need to come back in two months, because they needed back to back test results to make sure my eyes didnt continue to change. So now today I went for my appointment and the doctor tells me my eyes got worse and that the surgeon will probably not be able to do the procedure again. They are only aloud to correct my vision so much.. The outcome was I wasted 3K getting my eyes ""not fixed"". I paid additional for a lifetime retouch plan, of which I can not utilize. Although I was aware that there was a chance I may not be corrected to 20/20 I never imagined that my eyes would go right back to the way they were. At this point I will be requesting some type of a refund I do not think their initial evaluation was very good. They not only left out little tid-bits such as farsided people usually require a re-touch and there is a restriction on the retouch. Not only was I out money I also wasted 1 week of vacation because I had PRK done, in addition I wasted all the time driving to the appointments. 1 hour each way at least six times. The assistance were very nice, the surgeon was very nice, but the doctor/optometrist was horrible. She was rude, unprofessional, and did not provide all the information needed. She said only what she wanted to make the deal go through then back pedaled all the way out when the procedure didnt work. more
