Worst

My last visit to lamar day spa was horrible. My appointment was 15 min late with no excuse.

EVERYthing about this place was amazing. Very relaxing from the moment we walked into the spa. Everybody was exceptionally nice and helpful. The Oasis Facial left my face feeling like velvet. A definite recommendation for anyone who is in the Scottsdale area looking for a relaxing day. more

Wow! 2/1/2012

I came to the spa for the first time with the women from my church. Even though our group was fairly large everything went very smoothly. Had the most relaxation I have had in a long time. I enjoyed myself so much that scheduled a full spa day next week. I did not realize all services available. one suggestion for brand new guests..give a tour and explain how everything works. I have never been to a spa so this would have been helpful to me. :) thanks for a great time. more

Best Haircut 1/30/2012

Rachel consistently gives me the best haircut! Strangers constantly inquire who cuts my hair. Last month I had surgery, and several nurses said, "Wow, you don't even look like you've had surgery." I know it's because my hair looks great, whether it's when I roll out of bed in the morning or I've just had a 4-hour surgical procedure. more

As usual... The Lamar does not disappoint. Jamie gave me a great pre-natal massage and then I had a very relaxing pre-natal facial by Erin. My husband also enjoyed is 85 minute massage. It was a great birthday gift! more

Great visit 1/14/2012

We were in town for a couple of days and a friend recommended The Lamar since it was down the street from our hotel. It was clean, comfortable and so relaxing. My scrub left me softer than I have ever been and Natalie was kind and professional. Our pedicures were also wonderful. The pool, hot tub, sauna, yoga studio, hair salon....well you get, it were absolutely perfect. Thank you so much Heidi for such an amazing spa day! more

Felt like I was part of the family 1/13/2012

As soon as I got there, Heidi treated me like I was one of her friends or a family member. Everyone was so accomodating and hospitable. It felt like they truly wanted you to have an amazing experience. By the time we were getting ready to leave, we were already talking about what we would do the next time we come in. I am definiely addicted to Spa Lamar. more

Whenever my husband and I visit Scottsdale, we plan a relaxing visit to Lamar......there is no other spa like it! The ambiance is delightful (you can linger as long as you like) and the staff. as well as the services, are wonderful. more

Awesome Day Spa Experience 1/11/2012

Had a wonderfully relaxed afternoon. 3 great treatments: 1) Scrub with Casey, 2) Massage with Jimmy, and 3) Facial with Erin. Terrific professionals, no product pushing, just wonderful treatments. I'll be back when I retire here in 3 years (sooner when vacationing:-) Improvement suggestions: 1) clock by pool/spa, 2) larger robes & 3) toilet seat covers. PS. sent my husband in for a massage with Jimmy---it was awesome. thanks a bunch! more

Wonderful experience 1/1/2012

My Mid-Day Break was fantastic. Everyone I met was courteous, kind and helpful. The massage therapist helped relieve some long standing neck muscle issues for which I am so grateful. The esthetician's relaxing facial brought back a long lost facial glow and the nail technician worked her magic on my hands and nails. I left relaxed, & refreshed, determined to return. more

Yoga at Lamar 12/30/2011

This is a great place to hang out. The yoga classes I took were very nurturing and gentle. The instructors were kind and helpful. I LOVED the space. I spent half of the day at Spa Lamar on my birthday and cannot imagine a better thing to do. I was worried coming in (I was visiting from Seattle) about not having a bathing suit and figured I could find a place near by to purchase one before my yoga class... no need, the spa sells suits to make things easy. Great steam room, dry sauna, sitting room, pool, and hot tub. Yoga classes could be a tiny bit more challenging and invigorating, but still good. more
