Worst

There was nothing about the grouper sandwich that deserved the $21.00 price tag, especially at 11:45 on a Tuesday. Our server never indicated the price and it wasn't on the menu....

Nice scenery is the only good point about this place. Food was terrible and bland, service was non existent and management does nothing to correct or follow up on poor quality. Restaurant was not impressive for what they charge, I expected better. more

Adequate for meetings 8/10/2008

Have been to Hirams primarily for business meetings. While the service is good and the atmosphere is comfortable, the food is decidedly lacking in that "oomph" factor. Not that it's bad, it's just not outstanding. I would probably not go out of my way to go there for a real dinner, but it serves its purpose for the meetings, and everyone knows what they're getting at Capt. Hirams. Pros: Very good for business meetings and local conveniences Cons: Too pricey for the mediocre menu more

Pretty Scenery 3/21/2008

There was nothing about the grouper sandwich that deserved the $21.00 price tag, especially at 11:45 on a Tuesday. Our server never indicated the price and it wasn't on the menu. The final bill for those, our child's burger, an appetizer and 3 drinks was $85.00. You have got to be kidding me. We won't be returning, not even for the pretty scenery. Pros: view Cons: cost more

Waterside fun spot with great food to boot! 2/8/2007

I've been here several times over the last 12 or so years. My mom lives nearby and every time I visit her, at some point we end up at Capt Hirams. It's a fun place - they have a "sand bar", live music, good food and good service, indoor and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is casual and beachy with a wonderful "river" (Inter-Coastal Waterway) view. Good for families as well as singles and couples. It's a good, all-around place. Loved by locals and visitors. Pros: Atmosphere, food, service. Cons: Parking - but it's getting better. more
