I purchased the Living Social mani/pedi and redeemed it in October, 2012. This was the worst mani/pedi I ever received. The nail tech started the manicure by telling me she prefers to do hair, that she doesn't have the patience to do nails. This was evident a few minutes later. She buffed not only my nails, but also my cuticles and skin with a rough buffer that ripped the cuticles and pulled at hang nails. No base coat was used, just straight to polish. And the polish was so sloppy that she let me know not to worry, the extra flecks on my skin would come off in the shower. The polish was so uneven around my cuticles and all over my skin next to the nail bed that I took off the polish as soon as I got home. I debated leaving after the manicure, saying the pedicure wasn't worth it. But, I'd already bought the Living Social so decided to stay for the pedicure. Two hours later, finally complete, I realized I should have left. The pedicure was equally sloppy. The nail tech was pleasant and kind, so of course I tipped well. I have never had a hair cut, style or color at the salon, so perhaps this is their forte. But if you are considering a mani/pedi, go somewhere else.
