One of a kind Phoenix dining 1/1/2011

My immediate and extended family have been coming here for years and have ZERO complaints. The food is a buck or 2 more than your typical diner but this isn't your typical dining experience. No place in town compares to the atmosphere and the food is very good. We all love the variety of deserts and the ice tea is excellent. As for the person complaining about occasional ant... HELLO... it's outdoors! And for the person who thought the sandwiches were too expensive... go to Denny's for a cheap meal. They also have a terrific breakfast area, morning Glory cafe, and an excellent evening dining experience @ Quiessence. Thanks for giving us this jewel in the desert. more

Went to see what the fuss was all about 4/8/2010

I ordered: \r Old Fashioned Turkey Sandwich\r Grill roasted pulled turkey, organic field greens and house made cranberry relish with chipotle mayo on a croissant with an apple pie\r \r Sounds DELICIOUS Right?\r \r I got DRY DARK meat and a pie with little flavor. Disappointing :-(\r Pros: Neat place Cons: quality of food for the price more

too expensive!! 5/10/2008

I went there to celebrate my graduation. For one sandwich, two salads, two drinks, two deserts it cost $48.00. There were ants everywhere and the service was slow and rude. Pros: atmosphere Cons: ants more

Not Typical Outdoor Valley Dining! 3/22/2007

I went to lunch at The Farm during the week with some co-workers. It was in an area of the city I thought was iffy, but I was shocked to see the beautiful grove and green field. The line was long, but the food was great. The selection of salads and sandwiches was just enough to have options, but anymore would have been just too much. The homemade desserts looked so good! We ate at a picnic table in a field of trees, but I would have loved to have a blanket to sit on the grass. The food comes in individual little baskets, which makes the picnic idea so great! \r \r Only complaint is the price. The salads and sandwiches were $10 and drinks $2, but the desserts were way over priced. I paid $4 for a peice of pecan pie, and it was so bad. I am from the SE USA and the consistancy was like paste. My co-worker had turtle cheesecake for hte same price and said it was better then the Cheesecake Factory! Now I know!\r \r Overall it was a great experience. We enjoyed the nice breeze and the sunshine. I heard they close for the summer, which I understand since there is NO indoor seating that I saw. Pros: Beautiful Outdoor Dining Cons: Pricey and long line more

what a great surprise! 10/16/2006

Great atmosphere, great food and beautiful scenery. A great way to spend an afternoon when the weather is right. I bring out-of-town guests for lunch and they can't believe there's a lush, grassy farm in the middle of the desert. Pros: fun, unique, great food Cons: slightly expensive for sandwiches, soups, etc. more

Visited The Farm two weeks consecutively, and plan to visit weekly-it shuts down for the summer at month's end. Had the southwest chicken, grilled flank steak, and chicken pecan sandwiches-all great, especially the first two. Beautfiul, tranquil settings sends stressors away, albeit temporarily. Can't wait to try other two restaurants. Glad to have found this gem! Pros: Great food, Ample parking Cons: Can get crowded, Short business hours more

  • In Short
The Farm Kitchen is a breath of fresh air and a little hit of rural R&R. You'll know it the instant you see the white picket fence at the entrance and the picnic tables...
