This was our first visit to the Chateau, celebrating our 10th anniversary, and I was so looking forward to it all day. The staff upon entering was very inviting, and pleasant. As we look into the dining room, we see lot's of booth's available but they proceeded to take us to the 2nd smaller room, which I thought could of been quieter and more (not so much romantic)personal.. I got a bad feeling about this as soon as I saw it, there were 4-5 tables filled with parties of 9 or so. The noise was overbearing, and we couldn't even hear our waitress! The sat us right in the middle of all these tables! Shame on us for not requesting a booth, or quieter table. It ruined our appetites, we couldn't even talk to each other unless we yelled as loud as the cackling, singing, other diners. It got so that they were all trying to talk over each other. We had to endure this thoughout the whole meal, because even though they were all fed and paid...they stayed until we left. All the while we are looking into the next room through the glass doors at two peaceful looking booths empty. The flod selection was nice, pricing was medium, and our meals were OK, kind of bland. I got the haddock with lobster, and my husband got a steak. The waitress informed us that she had to pull teeth in the kitchen to give him roasted potatoes instead of mashed, french fries, or rice. Are you kidding me? They wanted to charge us extra for that. The service for us was quick, no long wait. With all the noise we couldn't wait to get out any way! I will try this place again though, but ask for a booth instead.
Pros: Good for groups, families
Cons: Incredibly Noisy, no romance here!
