The Castle Theater

We love this theatre, we wait till the movies we want to see are shown there. The sofa and sectional seating is a great way to enjoy a movie together, not to mention very comfortable. Ordering your meal there is also a plus! Prices are a little high for the food, but not going elsewhere for a meal, we have found has really been more economical. You do have to wait a bit for new releases, but we think it's worth the wait. Definately worth a visit. Pros: Comfort Seating, Dinner and a Movie more

I found that my experience at the Castle Theater was disappointing at best. First, let me start by saying that the renovation to this old building was fantastic, but otherwise, I was less than impressed. To begin with I had to wait several weeks for a movie that was of any quality to show there. Since their opening the movie selection has really deteriorated. The staff were most unfriendly and rude and they made it seem like my presence was an inconvenience. The food was expensive and the popcorn was terrible. The sound quality in my car radio is better than what I heard coming from their speakers and too small screen. They also had numerous problems getting the movie started which I have heard is not an infrequent problem. Overall I was glad that I got to see the inside of the theater but I would never go back. Rejuvination of the theater is very good. The seats and atmosphere are all good. It is a bit expensive. The food we had (pizza) was good but it was expensive. The movie we saw was not so good, but the Castle itself is worth a look. Next time we will sit down stairs. The screen is hard to see from upstairs because of the size. Yes I would recommend going for the experience, but check out the movie with someone who has seen it first. more
