The Beauregard House

The Beauregard House in San Antonio is a wonderful bed and breakfast. The owners are wonderful; very nice people. Our stay was very nice and comfortable- well worth the price. The Riverwalk is pretty close- we walked to the Riverwalk and took a very cheap cab home. The breakfast was superb- we had juice, grapefruit, toast with delicious jellies, eggs florentine, potatoes, etc,. It was perfect. This bed and breakfast goes down to the last detail for you and your guest. We stayed in the London Hideaway which was very nice- fresh towels, bathrobes, private bath, and a separate vanity area for applying your makeup or washing your face. This place is great! I stayed at the Beauregard House in April. We stayed 7 nights and the gourmet breakfast included scrambled eggs with rice a roni every morning. The off street parking only accommodates 3 cars, so with the manager and the maid it does not leave parking for the guests. The last drop off for the trollry is 8:30 pm, so the choice is to walk home every evening through a bad neighborhood or be in your room by 8:30 pm. Management was not interested in assisting with any problems. The owners were in Europe, the standard answer was that the manager could not make decisions and the owners cannot be reached. The manager said that the owners are gone as much as possible. After three days I tried to check out, the manager charged my card and said I could leave but no part of my vacation was refundable. Nice owners. Food great. Everything was exactly as pictured. No suprises. When the coffee pot in our room broke, and told the owners, problem fixed within the hour. Clean. Shown the maps and told about the walking distances and location of sites. Owner made us reservations for dinner and when my husband was ill prepared him something special to calm his stomach. Beautiful home in The King Williams District. The price very reasonable. A great option over staying on the RiverWalk. Very clean and pleasant. Comfortable beds, extra amenities-such as mini-refrigerators, coffeemakers, televisions in rooms. Always a dessert available in dining room for guests. Full breakfast served and very delicious.
