The Addison is a Boca landmark. It is actually in Addison Mizner's old house and has a delightful Banyan tree studded courtyard. With live music outside on a cool evening you can dance out under the stars. The restaurant is a bit pretentious and over priced, but hey its Boca. We were there with two other couples and every time one of us wanted to order something the waiter would suggest something else instead. Figuring he knew the wine and food better than we, we went along with his suggestions. Shame on us for not asking the price of his suggestions though. It seems everything he suggested was at least twice as much as the alternative we were going to order. When the bill came it was over 300 dollars per couple without a tip. For a fair bottle of wine and a 3 course dinner this was a little excessive. Lesson learned, if the waiter is pushing certain dishes and wines make sure you have the price list before you order. It really put a chill on an otherwise nice night.
