I live in the Metro DC area, but visit family in Mount Dora and Tavares. Thai Jasmine may not look like much from the outside, but what a gem it is! The Thai food compares well to that in much more cosmopolitan areas, but the Sushi was a delightful surprise. I ordered a small sampler to share with my family members, who are not familiar with Sushi, and I was most impressed. Thank You! more

We go here a lot .. It's a great restaurant! I like the Pork Fried Rice, Pad Thai Chicken and Pad See Ew Beef Spicey .. All three are EXCELLENT!! Pros: Small, Fresh Food Cons: Strange hours more

Best Sushi near Lake County 12/3/2008

This place is such a refreshing suprise! My husband is a chef and was hesitant to try a sushi restaurant that was in a strip plaza, we usually eat Sushi at Amura in Sanford, but it is quite expensive so he decide to pick up a to go order from Thai Jasmine. We were both so impressed with the size and flavor of the rolls, we definitely found our new Sushi place! The price was about half what it would have been at Amura, and the flavor was definitely there and the size was great, too. Pros: Cheap, close to home, quick service and amazing food Cons: Not very appealing from the road more

Great Food, Small Place 2/4/2008

This place makes up with their quality of people and food what it lacks in atmosphere. By far some of the nicest people work there. Kenzy is a great sushi chef and just a great guy. Food was Cheap and Good and Plentiful. Highly Recommended. Pros: Food, Beer and Desserts (Banana Tempura) Cons: Limited Dining Room. more

Great Pad Thai 10/29/2007

We sometimes order from here for lunch - I love the chicken pad thai - light on the spice. It is the best I've had around...and you'll find yourself eating the entire portion without even realizing it! Pros: The taste - never oily more

Great little restaurant 4/11/2007

This restaurant is located in a little strip mall on Old 441/Alfred St. in Tavares. Don't let the exterior turn you away because the food is excellent and so is the service. Great Thai dishes and a small sushi bar. I have eaten there many times and it has always been very consistent. It has limited seating and the noise level can get high when full. But it is well worth it! Pros: Great food, friendly staff, nice ambience, ample parking Cons: Small restaurant, sometimes loud inside more
