It's almost a five star but the last two times I was there a half hour job ended up being a couple or several hours. I don't mind but when told one thing and it ends up differently, I don't appreciate that. more

Devlin and staff...Hubby Tracy is out of town...got ready to go to lunch...journey would not start...of course its at lunch I have 2 things that need to be done...ok I got this..get the batter charger out and I will jump start it and mess with it later...well could not find the negative post...hey Im thinking something is wrong I'm a country girl and have jumped off many cars...so I have to google it in the cold drizzly weather...ok...so the big screw coming out of something is my ground...ok..so I get it jump off...charger says my battery is fried...so I go to car parts down the road...first kid being on the job 2nd day comes and checks it...puzzled by one positive post I tell him what I learned...so he checks and says yes it dead...he asked me where the battery was...said not sure...I know this box beside it is a fuse box...so we go inside..being 2nd day he is learning the computer...manager comes up hits a few keys and says OHHHHHHHH...well having a hubby and 3 boys that are either engineers are in school too be...I knew this would not be good....OHHHHHHH.....he said my batter is in the wheel well....I said ok...I need a good battery and installed please...he said....AHHHHHH we don't do that here...I said really I have bought batteries here before and ya just popped them in...he said no this one you will have to go see your mechanic....I said really...yes mam they will have to put your car on a rack and take the wheel off to replace...I said my goodness....ok well I will call our mechanic and he asked who it was I replied Devlin at Texas Star....he said oh I know Devlin...and rattled off your # which I already have saved in my phone...so I called and you got me in...so everything is GREAT....whoohoo I'm on my way....go back to car...of course its deader than a door nail....my souped up charges wouldn't get it started and their little bitty one wouldn't either...so here we go...old school....he brings his car around to the right...even the longest jumper cables would not work....so after 10 mins the lady on the other side was leaving...so I jump out stand in the parking place waiting for him to get over to the other side....whoohoo we are getting somewhere...we hook up...another 15-20 mins charging...to get to your place...pull up front and leave it going ....ya are super busy which is awesome....I'm waiting in line to give the keys over...and my friend from work is waiting outside to take us back to work after this craziness...come back after work while they are finishing up...another hour which was totally fine....I got to just chill out for a moment and return calls from earlier in the day....So as you can see my Friday was Fabulous....Thanks so much for getting me in and again taking great care of me while hubby is away.....your staff and mechanics are always so great to work with.....so the moral of this story...is know where your batter is before you drive a car...lol and I told all 3 of my engineers if they every design something as stupid as this....I will probably dis-own them...lol Thanks Again Michelle ps I will stop by this week for my printed receipt...the printer or something was down... more

Have know Devlin for 10 years. He is a good, honest man. I send everyone to him for tires and repairs. He'll do it right, and at a reasonable price. 99 out of 100 times he'll also be the lowest price, too. Just try to find tires for less. You won't! more

Having owned a car for more than a day, I have had my fair share of experience getting them repaired. I first started using Texas Star because I was borrowing a car and they told me to go there for the oil changes. I then started taking my own car there, and have nothing but good things to say. Whether it is an issue that I bring up, or something they find while doing maintenance, I have been impressed with how they can inform me about needed repairs, without making me any pressure to do them. It is a wonderful gift to be able to make a decision, especially a potentially expensive one, with a guy breathing down your neck to decide. They are not the cheapest place in town, but they are far from the most expensive. And the peace of mind I have using them, makes Texas Star my auto repair shop of choice! more

I have been using Devlin and the guys at Texas Star for many years and without fail I have been fixed up and put back on the road quickly and cheaply for the repairs I have gotten. From an oil change to new tires to a motor rebuild they have done it all with my vehicles fixing the problem the first time. It is great to have a business owned and operated with Christian Values.
