I had never eaten bison meat before and I was pleasantly surprised...the short ribs were excellent! Tender and the gravy and potatoes were perfect. My only complaint is that there could have been more of them! Pros: I had the bison short ribs - unbelievablly good Cons: Things were not offered, you have to request more

We recently tried this restraunt thinking maybe a great steak house? It was our first & LAST visit. Supposedly famous for its Buffalo meat (Bison). My steak tasted like it was spoiled meat, and it came from a cow- not buffalo. The bison meatloaf was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. We noticed other tables getting fresh biscuits, but we were not. When we asked the mgr about the steak, he said it had lemon butter on it, & not spoiled. As for the fresh biscuits, you have to request them. The only thing we had complimentary, was a very small bowl of pickled cucumbers..not very good either. Shrimp appetizer was overcooked and chewy, my steak was unedible, and potatoe was cold. Lemon butter or not, it revisited me about 45 mins after we got home. The main draw at this restaurant is that they offer bison steaks. Yes, that's right, steak made from an American buffalo. Our business host who treated us to dinner there told us ahead of time that bison was of excellent quality and was leaner than beef. I tried a bison NY strip and it was very good as far as steak's go; however, I was expecting a sharper contrast in taste between bison and regular steak. I didn't notice a big difference, except that it was a little leaner. Later, when I told my wife about this, she somewhat seriously suggested ""They probably just say its buffalo!"" more
