On Sunday, I called this company to report that my thermostat, that was installed about five months earlier (10 year warranty), had a blank screen. On Tuesday, a technician arrived, and after about ten minutes advised me that my thermostat had to be replaced. He also stated he did not have one on his truck. On Friday evening, a technician arrived and installed a new thermostat and billed me $180 for labor. Someone in the office had quoted $65/ hr. labor and $85/hr. after hours and weekends. I called the office and was told that those rates were diagnoses rates and labor rate is $180/ hr. I was never told about the $180/ hr. rate prior to billing.\r Also, I had requested a spring cleaning, but the technician left without mentioning anything about it. Not happy and I hope the owner will work with me. I will report the result of our conversation. BBB and Lennox, stand by for my complaint. more

A HUGE thank you to taylor & tyler. My mother is 92 years old & woke to her house at 89 degrees because her unit has froze up. They were here within 20 minutes of me calling & had the problem fixed within the hour! The service was fast, friendly, & affordable. I would recommend them to anyone! Great job! more

I am the owner of Taylor & Tyler inc. when reading reviews from sites like this you really have to take 98% of everything negative said and put it in perspective. Because these sites provide no rebuttal to any complaint it is 100% 1 sided and pure slander. we have an A+ rating with the BBB and I don't pay for their advertisement. we have been in business 15 years and I have 6 complaints with BBB and all handled and closed. I realize we cant please everybody all the time. We do our best to be an honest, hardworking company that competes for your business with respect and honesty. We will give an honest price and back up our work. We have a 30 day warranty on labor for service calls and a 1 year warranty for new installs. We have dispatchers that answer the phone, service techs that come to your home and service the systems and installers to install new systems. were are licensed and insured. Excellent service! Very friendly and honest people! Came out to service my unit for maintenance. They arrived when they said they would and service my unit. They were very professional and courteous. They also found a issue with my duct work in attic wasn't secured and fixed, I personally check behind anyone that comes work on anything at my house. They repaired and cleaned up unit in no time and everything looked great and working like new again. I've had some pretty bad A/C company's come out and this company is top notch! I would recommend Taylor & Tyler A/C and heating to anyone! more

I received a free estimate for a new unit from Taylor and Tyler. I really appreciate their time and information about getting a new unit installed. I am still deciding which unit I will go with but they will be the company that installs it. I would recommend calling them for free estimates. Not many companies do them anymore. more

Always easy and wonderful to deal with !!!\r My husband and I have been using Taylor & Tyler since we moved into our house in 2003. We have two Lennox units for upstairs (2ton) and down (4ton). They have always been so easy to deal with and have come out right away when we needed them to repair or inspect something. They always provide service at the customers convenience, even after hours if needed!! We will purchase a new Lennox unit with them in 2015. more

This is the second installation using the same dealer, Taylor & Tyler, and same brand, Lennox. We were so impressed with our dealer's knowledge and professionalism the first time that we had no doubt about using them a second time. They also offered competitive pricing and a flexible installation schedule that worked for us. Our dealer provided many options along with recommendations based on a detailed analysis of our needs. As all consumers should do, we did obtain 3 additional quotes from other local dealers but none compared to the service we received from Taylor & Tyler. Great job to the team at Taylor & Tyler. Would definitely recommend their services to others. more

I have been purchasing service contracts for the last 3 years through Taylor and Tyler A/C and heating and I must say so far the service has been great. They come out once in the summer time and once in the fall and check and clean my unit and they make sure everything is running properly. All that for just $175 a year! They also let me know of any problems that I might have in the future and I get 10% of any service that they might have to come out and do. When I had a minor problem about a year ago, I called them and someone was out to me 30 min later. I was so relieved!! . The owner loves helping people and he explains problems and options to you without making you feel lost. Other companies that I have called in the past made me feel like they were out to just make a buck. I recommend Taylor and Tyler for any type of A/C problem that you might have. more

I cannot recommend this company. A new tech for the company came by and during the routine 'cleaning' asked me if I wanted a chemical clean. I told him that would be OK, as he recommended it. My AC stopped working that night and I called to tell the company that he had broken it since it had been working for 5 years until his visit. The owner told me that sometimes the chemical clean causes something to expand and the motor dies. He said he normally warns customers about that. i told him his tech had not warned me. He apologized but offered nothing toward the the new fan motor which cost me nearly $600 in labor and part.\r \r A good business would have offered to at least pay half since it was their fault and since I never would have had the work done had they told me the risk. more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, you will be sorry. I have elderly parents, and was seeking immediate assistance. The technician, Kevin, charged $80 for a service call that did not apply to the job that he would perform. He quoted me a price on the fan motor, stating the cost could be anywhere from $400-$500, he did not know the exact price, he would need to call the next morning, however he assured me it would NOT exceed $500, that the price was likely to go down. He stated he would call the manufacture the next business day and order the part and install. Looking back now, I realize, he knew the cost of this item. Naturally once I agreed to this, the very next morning when he called the price was now at $582. You do realize I am desperate at this point; I need this cold air in the house that day for my parent’s sake. I inquired about the acquisition cost, what exactly is that? Kevin stated that was the cost to order, pick up and transport the item to me. I then asked out of the $225 acquisition and installation cost, how much of that was acquisition, I was told $125. I would venture to say that’s a hefty cost to deliver a fan motor in a 20 mile radius.\r \r It was even more disappointing when I hired my next A/C technician and informed me that the fan motor shouldn’t cost more than $100, to be exact more around the price of $70. You do realize at this point I have invested a total of $662 with Taylor & Tyler on a fan motor. This appears to be price gouging and Kevin took full advantage of me of my parent’s situation. It’s very disappointing to know he is the face that represents your company, a small local company. \r \r I strongly recommend that no one use this company. Please read other reviews, apparently I am not the only victim. more

Bought a new air handler and outside unit from these guys, the outside unit failed while still under warranty. I couldn't get anyone on the phone for 24 hours. When I finally did get an appointment, they showed up 8 hours late and didn't bring the parts they needed to fix the problem. They charged me for an "after hours" call (because they showed up late) and for "extra time" (because they didn't bring the right part and had to go and get it). Not recommended. I have been using Taylor & Tyler for all my AC and heating needssince 2001 and have recommended them many times in the past. Unfortunately, the company appears to have growing pains. I called for an appointment to have my ouside unit (condenser) serviced and reported that the fan motor was not working and the unit was not colling. The repairman came out and tried to sell me a new outside unit. When I pulled out my receipt which proved that the unit was only 4 years old and showed it to the guy, he tried to get me to agree to let him change the fan motor, capacitor and the dual pressure switch at a cost of $862.00. When I told him that his prices were high and that the dual pressure switch almost never goes bad, he told me that the prices could go down, but that he could not quote me the exact price until the office opened up the next morning. I had to pay him $80.00 for the diagnostic fee even though he did not bother to bring a fan motor with him and was not able to repair my unit in 100 degree heat that evening. (Remember: I have been using this company since 2001 and this company installed my oustide unit in March of 2007. My thinking is that this guy should have been able to bring a fan motor with him to the job site since I reported that my fanmotor was out, RIGHT? Maybe, I am being unreasonable!) The guy also did not bother to try to find out if my unit was under warranty. I requested a different repairman the next day and he was able to repair my unit by changing just the fan motor and capacitor. The charge was $433.00 which is still a little high. I am writing the manufacturer to find out if the parts are covered under the warranty or not. Given that the unit is less than 5 years old, the parts certainly should be under warranty. To be fair, the second technician the company sent out was wonderful. Having said that, you need to be cautious when dealing with this vender given the above. more
