I have heard in the past that tates creek village had bad reviews but i also heard they went under new managment this year (2007-2008), so i decided to look into renting a apartment. After signing our one year lease we soon began to see the MANY flaws of the appartment and mostly the horrible service. The ladies who work in the office are complete snobs and would not take my rent check that was only one hour late. She now wanted me to pay $75 extra dollars and $5 a day afterwards if i didnt give her the late fee asap. She still had everyone elses check in her hand and told me she was NOT going to the bank yet to cash them!! So why could she not take my check??I have never been late on rent the entire time ive been there and now she treats me like dirt! they walk around with their nose in the air like their something special! When you do pay on time they hold your check for three weeks before cashing them!! But they want to give you hell when your an hour late but still that hour late check wont be cashed for another three weeks. Not only do the office workers treat you like dirt but the appartment itself is NASTY! It has a nasty smell to it, the thermo. never works right, the dishwasher never cleans anything, the walls are so thin you can hear you neighbors having a normal conversation, a bunch of thug like people are always causing trouble and bring the cops around late at night, and when you report it to the office, they do nothing! There is never parking!! we have visitor spots and if you were to park in one due to the fact there are not more spots, they will tow you! Yeah the appartments are really big but its not worth all the hell you have to put up with. I called their corp. office to complain and im still waiting to hear from them. So i hope someone from Tates Creek Village is reading this because i will be writing an article for the UK news paper to let students know that your appartments and the service is HORRIBLE! good luck in the future, youll need it!
