BEST PIZZA IN L.A. 7/14/2006

Best pizza in L.A. The pizza is filling and has excellent taste. Atmosphere is like you are in CHICAGO with all the memorabilia on the wall: CUBS, BULLS, WHITE SOX,ETC. If you like pizza , you definitely have to try TASTE CHICAGO. Pros: Great pizza Cons: Not alot of parking but who cares- it's worth walking a little more

Food That Must Be Tasted To Be Believed 6/20/2006

I live in Burbank and was very happy to see a new restaurant at the corner of Hollywood Way and Verdugo. Previous tenants have been short lived and had sub par food. But Taste Chicago has what I consider to be the best Sicilian pizza I have ever had. And one slice is bigger than most personal pizzas anywhere else. Now they added deep dish. Forget about it! Other favorites are the Chicago dogs and the Italian Beef sandwich. Its kind of like a beef dip but bigger and with Italian seasonings. I like to ad some mozzarella cheese once in a while. They also have great salads and meatless pasta dishes. The service is great and the outdoor dining is a welcome change. Pros: Food, parking, outdoor dining. more

Celeb Hype 1/25/2005

This place is owned by Joe Montagna and his wife (he plays the father on Joan of Arcadia), hence all the hype. The food is OK, but nothing great. The hot dogs and beef sandwiches DON'T include fries; in fact they don't even have fries, what they have is like baked potato sticks. $3.50 for a hot dog is expensive, then when you add fries and a drink, it's $7. The beef sandwiches are skimpy on the meat and are $7; or over $10 with potatos and a drink. Much better beef sandwiches (which are 3 times as bigg too) at Giamellas 5 minutes from there at Victory and Magnolia. The pizza is just plain gross more

Taste Chicago serves fine FROZEN CUSTARD. Not to be confused with average ice cream, Taste Chicago's frozen custard is smooth and creamy, richer than most ice creams and soft serves, and healthier, extremely like frozen yogurt but with outstanding flavor. Also...check out Taste Chicago's huge array of delicious chicago style foods from Italian Beefs to Chicago Dogs. North Hollywood Way and Verdugo, Burbank.
