Worst Tapas restaurant ever! 1/1/2007

We went here on New Years Eve expecting a romantic setting, like every other tapas restaurant. However, all they were serving was a buffet of non tapas style foods like breakfast style potatoes and rice. It was awful. We had to wait twenty minutes for our drinks, until finally I went inside to get them. While we were there, there were three groups of people that sat down and then left after ten minutes of not getting any service. To top it off they charged an 18% gratuity for no service. It was a buffet so we had to get our own food and we had to get our own drinks, but they still charged a gratuity on a 2 person check! The manager said that it is stated on the menu outside, which it was in tiny letters at the bottom. Plus, the buffet was always running out of plates. All these idiots had to do was make sure there were plates at the buffet and to get peoples their drinks. They were too stupid to be able to handle it. This is not a tapas bar; it is just a crappy restaurant. Trust me, eat someplace else. Pros: none Cons: bad food, awful service, bad atmosphere more

Mix and Match 7/27/2006

This is a good place to go if you want something small or if you have a group looking to try different things. Small indoor eatting space, but alot of out door seating. The Greek salad is a great lunch item. Wine selection is unique and always different. more

Excellent Tapas! 6/11/2006

My husband and I went to Tapas in March of this year and had a wonderful time! After spending 3 months in Spain before we were married. I found Tapas as close to true Spainish Tapas as you can get in this area. Congratulations!!!! more

We're out of everything... 2/6/2005

After entering this small restaurant on SuperBowl Sunday, I had to inquire if it was OK to "sit anywhere" because none of the 4 or 5 people working spoke to me (or even acknowledged my presence). Once I was seated, a waitress informed me that, "we are out of almost everything." I ordered 3 items from the short list of what was available, and it was sub-par for the most part. The French Onion soup was quite good, but the grilled lamb and tomato shrimp were tasteles and poorly cooked. Save yourself the trouble and eat elsewhere in City Market. more
