Tall Pines Farm Stoves & Frplc

I am Steve the installer that ""cmcmahon1"" referred to in her critique of Tall Pines Farm. I feel that a rebuttal is necessary for all concerned. First, I am an independent contractor and work for the home owner who purchased their stove from TPF, as in a subcontract. I know who cmcmahon1 is and the circumstances she described are wrong. The store invoice details what was ordered from the discussion at time of purchase. This customer changed her mind as to how she wanted the vent pipe run, thus causing me to have to return to the store to pick up additional material to complete the job. It is therefore her responsibility. The store only billed her for what I used on the job, what was required. \r Working with Tall Pines Farm for over eleven years I have seen them grow and they are now one the premier dealers of alternative energy products in the nation. The staff has grown accordingly and can say they are top notch. Having worked with 5 other dealers and having my own business for 10 years, can say they are the best company I have ever worked with or for. Yea, they've had some growing pain but the owners are genuinely interested in making sure their customers are happy.\r I've seem them give full refunds on used stoves because the homeowner's situation changed and didn't need the product. I've seen George, the owner drive thru a snow storm to visit a customer to rectify a problem, of which was not the stoves fault. Being I do not actually work for them, please take my opinion as non biased, yet informed. Tall Pines Farm has grown because they have great people on staff and do take care you after the sale. more

Purchased a top of the line Harmon Pellet Stove P68. Come installation day the contractor was OVER 6 hours late, and when I called Tall Pines the first time before noon they said the stove has been picked up, he should be there in 15 mins. Still no one. Called again, they told me that..yeah he's alittle slow and sometimes is late to jobs....really? Ok. Third call @ 5:00pm they just tell me to come down and pick up a check for the stove. Wow, this is how you run a business? Installer got there at 6:10pm and had to finish the next day. I will go out of my way to have this serviced in the future by SOMEONE else. more

My husband and I recently purchased a pellet stove from Tall Pines. While we were happy with the product itself, we were less than enthused with their customer service and installation. Steve, whom installed our stove, needed to come back due to sizing and fitting issues. Upon leaving, he told me, "" just give me a few bucks to cover my extra trip over here"". While it made me uncomfortable, I thought not much of it until our bill came. We were charged a labor fee, which is fine; however why then did Steve wish for me to pay him additionally?? Furthermore, we were double charged for parts, charged for parts which we never had, and charged for parts which we had and were then taken back by Steve.\r \r I do not recommend this company and will send my business elsewhere in the future. There are many reputable companies in the area, Tall Pines is not one of them. more
