Best chinese Food! 5/23/2008

i LOVE this restaurant! The service is fast , prices are VERY reasonable! Can not beat thier lunch special. I have eaten at alot of Chinese food places as well and find this one to be my all time favorite. I LOVE their vegetable chow mien. They are not chatty Cathies but are very fast with their service. To me that is most important when I go to eat somewhere. They are always busy when I go as well. I have lots of friends that love this place too! more

Shockingly bland and tasteless!! Keep away. 1/20/2008

Okay, I've eaten at tons of Chinese restaurants around Seattle, Kenmore, Renton, Shoreline, Burien, Tukwila, Bothell, and other areas and other states. This restaurant has the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. We ordered the dinner for 7, which came with 4 different dishes of Chicken. The chicken was awful. They all tasted the same...very bland. The soup had zero taste, we had to add pepper, salt, and soy sauce just to make the egg flower soup more flavorful. But the white rice was okay -- who can mess that up?!? We had the mongolian beef, which was bland also. The shrimp dish had a lot of flour cooked with the shrimp, but the veggies were okay. The mushu pork was smothered with veggies, little pork, tons of green onions. If you can avoid this restaurant, do so. The Nu-Lite Chinese restaurant down the street was much much better (with better service). We paid well over $100 for a very disappointing meal. Our party agreed that we should have went to Jack in the Box and spent our $100 there. Sorry, didn't try the noodles like other people. Pros: Fast service, empty restaurant Cons: Not friendly service, poor food more

Ta-ta Tai-Ho 9/11/2007

I agree with the last reviewer, place is no longer as good as it used to be. I tried this place because a friend mentioned she liked their noodles. Being a Chinese restaurant owner in the past, I had to give it a try. I invited a friend to join my family of 4. She arrived a few minutes before us, so she let the hostess/owner know we were going to be 7. The owner gave my friend a rude welcome when she found out we had 4 kids in our group. When I arrived and mentioned we were 7 total, she replied, ""I KNOW!"" and seated us with an unwelcoming attitude. We ordered 3 entrees to start. Fried Almond Chicken, Beef with asparagus, and mixed noodles. The chicken was bland and tasteless with an okay batter and tasteless brown gravy with tiny crushed almonds on top. I ordered this dish with fried rice for $.50 more. The amount of fried rice was small and forgettable. The mixed noodle dish had very little vegetables and meats. It surprised me when it was served with a heaping side of rice, about half of the plate. I was expecting a plate of only noodles with meat and vegetables as it is normally served in many Chinese restaurants. When I asked the waitress if she would bring me the side of noodles for the extra $1, she looked at me as if I was crazy and said rudely that the side of noodles will cost $3.50 because I didn't order the noodle dish with extra noodles earlier. The beef with asparagus serving was small and it was a bit on the greasy side. The price for the beef dish was higher than the others, $7.95 compared to $5.95 for the chicken and $5.50 for the small size mixed noodles. I ended up ordering another mixed noodle with extra noodles for $1 more since we didn't enjoy the fried almond chicken. The plate of noodles was not much larger than the first one, another disappointment. Willl not come back again. more

The lounge is AWESOME! 5/18/2007

For so long, me and my boyfriend always ate in the restaraunt.... For the last couple months we've been dining in the bar/lounge side. It is a very casual atmosphere.. There are half price appetizers and unbeatable drink specials. The girls who work back behind the bar are always friendly, make good drinks and keep the bar under control and clean. I recommend it highly! Pros: Great service, great food, awesome drink specials! more

Inexpensive but tasty chinese food in this part of the city 12/30/2006

Pros: Cheap but Great tasting food from Lunch Menu more

It's all in the noodles 1/26/2006

For years I have been driving by this restauant daily from work. I finally decided to give it a try. The Hot and Sour soup is excellent. Spiced perfectly. The noodles are the best I have ever had. I especially like the pork chow mein. They are so fresh and so good. You have to try them!! Inexpensive lunches and great prices overall. The pot stickers, on the otherhand, were too thick of a noodle and I didn't care for the flavor. Huge amount of meat in the mogolian beef lunch but it was dry. Pros: superb noodles, plentiful amounts, inexpensive Cons: pot stickers more

Fantastic Food 5/5/2005

Good local Chinese food 3/2/2005

A few years ago, they got a number of write ups for their homemade noodle (singular as it's served as a single length of noodle) which is particularly good. At that point it was a relatively small old building; after getting quite a bit of business driven by the positive press, they rebuilt the building into a fancy two story restaraunt. I don't think the new building has as much character (it exemplifies every stereotype of a domestic Chinese restaraunt) but I still enjoy their food; also their service is really quite exceptional and they are very prompt. Pros: Yummy, Affordable, Fast more
