Lee J was that woman the shop talked about all day. Her bad hygiene and eight inch new growth roots plus her ugly conversations with doctors about her pain pill abuse that had her up and down and in and out of her chair like a crazy person. She did not take her cell phone from her head except to go out side and smoke 3 times, and slap her face and say it hurt. The stylist could not work on her properly, and should have refused her service. Oh of course she was one of those groupon people (thats a story unto its self) more

I would normally never respond to such a negative person \r but when that person tries to damage my reputation I have no choice. You originally forfeited your groupon deal with a no show and our awesome manager (the one who smokes all day that doesn't even smoke)gave you another appointment. You came in to the salon literally moaned the entire time you were there. While calling doctors for medication refills and going on and on that you ran out of pain medication. While going out to smoke and acting normal in the process. I did mix a second time to add additional lift (which is part of the process). And as far as your hair cut goes I did not finish it! You couldn't sit any more because of your pain. I explained to you that I was not done and your hair is not even. You left with you hair wet and shaking your head saying your done your done, that it hurt to much. At that time I told you that when you felt better to come in and I would finish it for you. Your appointment was on a Monday and you called the salon a week later screaming like a lunatic and would not tell the manager your issue. Only that you wanted the owner (who was with a client). Who you also spoke badly about in your review! Saying he gave a client a hack haircut. Kurt has been in business for 35 years and the client there that day is a client for 20 years! I am sorry you are in such pain. And I hope you get the help you need. I do hope that clients who read this review will also look at my other reviews that are all positive. I have Never had a worse cut and color! My hair is visibly uneven - a friend laughed when she saw my hair & asked if I had tried to cut it myself! There are 2 inch strands through out that are longer than the longest weight line and an inch differential in length sloping on one side. The butcher, Dawn had to mix up more color after color had been on my hair for over 30 mins. - seems they try to cheap out on product. \r I called to complain and the receptionist/manager laughed at me - she sounds like she smokes 2 packs of lucky unfiltereds a day. I finally spoke to the owner Kurt and he was astonishingly rude and hung up on me. It was after that I realized that the owner, Kurt, had also been butchering some poor souls hair the day I received the same. He was loudly bragging about himself and something about being a country western performer - which was very inappropriate & rude. He was also slovenly dressed and over all unkept. It was not until I called to complain that I realized he was the owner. Please heed the warnings posted here and save yourself. I doubt that they will remain in business much longer in an industry that is about ability and customer service they have none! more

I bought the Groupon for highlights and color. Greg did a fantastic job of suggesting a couple of different colors that he placed by hand a few strands at a time. The cut and highlights turned out beautiful. more

Did not like the service. I paid for the groupon special for the highlights but the stylist Greg kept discourage me from getting them claiming that they would look "" horrible"" on me. He ended up sugesting all over color. I told him I didn't like it so dark and he did what he wanted with out listening to my opinion. The hair cut was disappointing also. I would nerver come back or recommend this place. If you have employees that don't listen and work with the customers wishes. I paid for the full highlight $65.00 but I only got the full color $55.00. Of course my refund was denied. more

I do not want to dis the whole salon on just one stylist. I was very excited to get my hair cute and highlights after I bought this groupon. After arriving to the salon I was asked what I would like done to my hair. I wanted some blond and auburn highlights. He ended up just doing what he wanted which was just blond. Then when we got to the cut he dismissed everything I asked for and did what he thought would be cute for me. I hated it. I left there thought maybe I go home and style it on my own. Woke up the next day still disappointed. I went to great clips paid 15 dollars and the lady did an amazing job at fixing it and actually listening to what I wanted. I was so disappointed that he did what he wanted to do and not what I had asked for. more

I was very sad about reviewers with bad experience!\r I am a regular customer for 2 years since I moved in St. Louis from other country.\r And I was spoiled about great quality hair service already. I used to work with one of the best hair stylist in my home city last 10 years. After I moved here it was difficult to find someone instead... I tryed a lot places but wasn't satisfied enough. Then after article in St. Louis magazin about trends in hairstyling when Kurt was like an expert I set the appointment with Kurt.\r And I was completely happy with my new found regular stylist. He is very professional, has fashionable sense of style and able to take care about my hair in the best possible level. One of the best nail services I had in Ta Da too. Whole service circle organizes amazingly! I love being there! They always let me feel myself like a Queen.\r I know that very often our perception of situations might be different… But… Doesn't have any sense to discuss about this… I just could recommend to everybody try to get your own experience and compare though ;-) And this does have a lot of sense :-) I’m sure all regular customers can agree with me!\r Anyway… I always recommend for my friends to be customers of Ta Da and Kurt personally! The owner of this salon, Kurt, is wonderful. He is very gifted when it comes to color, conditioning treatments, and haircut options. He makes you feel right at home, when you walk in, he finds out what wine you like, geneously pouring a big glass, finds out what you really want and starts to do wonders with your hair....Amazing, to say the least!!! more

I had Kurt as my stylist and I could not have asked for anyone better! He knew exactly what I was looking for when it came to my hair. Not only did he hit the ball out of the park on my hair but his warm and welcoming personality made me feel right at home. I would recommend this salon to everyone. I found a stylist, Debi Strawn, that does everything to perfection. She cuts and colors my hair. She turned me on to Keratin hair straightening which is the perfect answer to those humid summer days in St. Louis. No more frizzies!!! I highly recommend her. You won't find a better stylist in addition to an enjoyable person! more

I have finally found my ""forever"" hairstylist!!! Ever since moving here I have been looking for someone that would listen to me and actually do what I wanted. I found her at Ta Da....Debi is great!!!! She was really tuned in to what I was saying and gave me a great color and hair cut. I will recommend her to everyone I know!!!!!! Went to TaDa?s owner, Kurt, for a ?quick trim? on my wavy shoulder-length hair. He said he knew just what to do. When he finished, I looked in the mirror and was horrified to see that he had chopped at least six inches off my hair. It stopped at the nape of my neck and the hair on top looked like a boy's. I was shocked. It looked awful. When I asked why he gave me this radical haircut without talking to me first, he shrugged and said ?I didn?t realize you were so attached to your hair??as if it was my problem for not liking it! Erin in the new esthetician at Ta Da Salon, and she is GREAT. She has a very gentle, yet effective touch and is very interested in helping you get your skin in the best condition it can be. I found TaDa thru the channel five discount coupons and thus found Karen. That was 3 years ago. I am now a loyal customer and would highly reccomend TaDa. The stylists are all wonderful. Karen is a very talented stylist and a color expert, I absolutely LOVE what she did with my color (blondes do have more fun by the way).
