The Scene
Most nights at Tia's are calm, pretty and prime for people-watching. The after-work crowd drinks in both the waterfront view and a cocktail (or eight); young moms from suburbia check their watches over chardonnay; the trade-show contingent dissects lobster at clustered tables; and footsore tourists wrestle their Faneuil Hall shopping bags. Weekends, it's a rambunctious pickup den.
The Draw
Tia's serves some basic seafood staples, but it's the view that brings the crowds. With more than 20 tables facing the harbor, it has one of Boston's best waterfront views, but snagging one of these tables on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night can be a feat. But once you're down, cocktail waitresses keep you from having to get up each time you're empty. There's also an outdoor bar.
