They have done work on my car since I moved here 3 years ago, and not only are they professional, but their prices are in keeping with quotes I have gotten from competitors. My first encounter with them was when I had a blowout, stranding me away from my home. I was towed 15 miles at 11:00 at night, and when I called and told them I was alone on the side of the road, they made a point of making sure someone was there within 1/2 an hour, and they called the police in the town where I was stranded and made sure I wasn't alone for long. Every business has its detractors, but my experience has shown them to be someone I'd recommend to a friend. more

I have lived in this area for years and have seen their trucks everywhere, but have not used these guys until recently. What a fantastic job they did! I brought my vehicle for an emissions test, and it failed. Steve walked me through the most likely reasons for the failure, got my car in the next day and fixed it for a very reasonable price. He even waived the diagnosis fee, since the problem was relatively straightforward. This is definately the place you want to do business with. more

The check engine light came on in my vehicle. was on. According to a diagnosis by AUTOZONE the thermostat had to be replaced. I brought my car to T&B Motors to have the thermostat replaced. After paying $119 for the ""repair."" I was told to bring the vehicle back further evaluation. The vehicle was eventually taken to another garage. According to the garage who repaired the vehicle. Thermostat was incorrectly installed. After going back to T&B Motors for a refund, the manager Steve argued with me in front of other customers. I finally receive a refund. more

I recently bought my first car here. It was a messed up car that they found, put a new engine in, and repaired. It was cheap, and so far runs great. The check engine light came on after a week or so, but i brought it to them and they took care of it for free, and fixed it right away. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. more

I have used T&B Motors a couple of times now and they impress me more each time. My first experience was a dead battery on UConn campus. They are AAA in this area and arrived on time, with a van stocked with batteries. The driver completed a series of tests on the battery in my VW Jetta and walked me through the results. He then replaced my battery on site, without going to the shop. more

T&B towing was asked to tow car from highway one mile to vw service station, instead they towed it to their own shop and tried to have work preformed by themselves. when told that they should tow car to origional vw service station they tripled the towing charge. Cons: Bait and switch more

T&B Motors is what you get when people from the same gene pool continue to procreate against the best advice, and then go and start up a tow company. I can't even begin to describe how idiotic and degenerate these people are. Not only was I towed unlawfully, but they then proceeded to charge me 24 dollars a day for storage. I was towed at 11:30 PM on a Saturday. They charged me a day's worth of storage for the thirty minutes between 11:30 PM and 12:00 AM. They then proceeded to charge me for a full day Sunday, and then for the eight hours between 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM Monday morning. They open at eight. I was there at eight. Apparently, if you have 24/7 tow service, you must release any cars towed in that time as well. I was unaware of this. There is no sign, no indication of this on their website (which I researched), or at their imbecile headquarters (which I went to Saturday night). Not only this, but when I called Monday morning to see how much I was being charged for this botch job, you can imagine my reaction when they reported 155 dollars. The night I was towed, the fat, unshaven slob of a driver told me he wanted 88 dollars cash to take it off the truck (after I argued about how it was unlawful to tow me, and he just sat there mumbling inaudibly). I asked where they were taking it, and to my delight, T&B Motors. He did not give me a phone number. He did not give me a business card. He did not tell me to call. I said, ""I'll be there in ten minutes."" I get there and it's lights out like outer space. Nothing. The place is dead. My car is conveniently parked in the back lot, but there is no one around to retrieve it. Then when I called Monday, what am I asked? ""Why didn't you call? How the eff am I supposed to know to call? ""Everyone else figures it out."" Dude, you run a business. I shouldn't have to figure it out. It's your job to figure it out and tell it to me. These guys are scam artists, and the worst kind at that: they cannot be fought. Pros: Conveniently located on campus to rob kids of their book and booze money. Cons: Completely inadequate at life. more

Well, they were called by campus police to tow my sons car (parked illegally....not the point..read on) We had a perfectly good vehicle, complete timing service done, oil changes regularily. These jerks sent some dim-bulb at 1:30 am and he/she apparrently had no idea, or regard, for this car. Timing belt skipped, and engine seized. $5,000 damage to my engine. They pulled this car (5 speed, parked in 1st, w/pking brake set) from behind and SCREWED it up big time. Wether they pulled it from its spot to get it on the truck, they must have pulled it from behind somehow, and with the 'interference"" engine on the VW GTI's....BAD NEWS. They are denying any wrong doing. We're screwed. STAY AWAY FROM T & M MOTORS IN MANSFIELD, CT. Guess what, they have no right to damage a car, regardless of the reason to tow. That car should have been in the condition it was in before the tow....and, you woud never know the timing belt skipped because of these iditiots, so our attempts to start the car, caused further damage. They don't know how to tow all cars properly. more
