When we first moved into our three year old home...the sump pump alarm sounded and at the recommendation of a coworker we called Sweet's. They came out and said that the pump wasn't large enough, and installed a new one. Now, a year and a half later, the sump pump alarm sounded again last night. They came out today and after about 10 minutes said that the float was temporarily stuck, and that happens from time to time. For him to come out today was $86.25, plus a $ 25.00 fuel charge. Really? $25.00 for the 17 mile round trip from our house to their place of business? I am wondering whether we ""needed"" a new sump pump to begin with. Next time we are in need of Plumbing service, we will try someone else.
