I could talk forever about this restaurant. We were looking for a business to apply for a 'business visa' to stay in the U.S.A. We looked at many places and found Susies. Being my wife's name we had to buy it. We knew nothing about the food trade but we are quick learners. We knew what we liked when we went to a restaurant. To be greeted by the owner and have good servers. We also added a lot of fun. Everyone got a hug and we would sit with the older folk and have breakfast and lunch. They loved it. Everyone knew us as 'The English Couple'. They said they loved our accent. I use to joke that I did not have one, they had. I can tell jokes and they loved them. The next day they would make sure that they told me one. Due to heart problems I had to sell. I still miss it very much. People still stop us and like to talk about the 'old days'. I also collected hats and Police patches. They would bring me old hats from everywhere. I had them from Germany, Australia and of course Great Britain I displayed 2 'Bobbies' helmets. There were over 700 in the end. We even had the local TV station put us on TV. A great episode in our lives.
