Best

My fave rave sushi-go-round venue in PDX....and to the reviewer that said ""conveyor train is so 80's"". pshaw. So much more fun and satifying to get to be adventurous trying ne...

Worst

The atmosphere is obviously fun, and the good variety at great prices was a definite plus. However, the service that people on this site have been raving about did not exist. We a...

wonderful! worth a walk down to quimby street 5/11/2005

not many people come all the way down to quimby when strolling down 23rd, but sushiville was definitely worth the extra walking. it definitely has the best decor among all the conveyor belt sushi places around town, and my kids loved the murals painted to look like we're underwater. my favorites were the calamari roll, spicy tuna, and the tofu teriyaki. we went during lunch hour and the miso and tea were free. overall i'd definitely go back, it was one of the best kaiten sushi we've had in portland. Pros: tasty, inexpensive, fun ambience Cons: parking more

Tasty Stuff! 10/11/2004

Sushiville provides entertaining kai-ten style sushi, a good selection of sake, and a nice, quick, inexpensive and fun meal. The decor leaves a bit to be desired and I'm not a big fan of the uncomfy chairs, but hey... it's worth the price. Highly recommended. Pros: inexpensive, fun neighborhood, tasty Cons: , not-so-comfy seats more

One of the BEST! 9/23/2004

I have fallen in love with Sushiville. From its excellent food to the 80s music rehash playing in the background, it's great! For the money, there simply isn't a better deal on sushi in Portland. Make sure to order the edamame, it's pretty tasty for $1.25. Pros: quality food, inexpensive, fast more

Freshest at lunch time 7/20/2004

I found the sushi and the rice to be very fresh at lunch time. The seaweed isn't chewy like most sushi places - it's very fresh. The atmosphere is like a cafe, nothing special. It's fast and very inexpensive for the sushi. Pros: Inexpensive more

Great fun 7/17/2004

The sushi is not the best, but given the conveyor belt atmosphere it is is very good. If you get there at off-hours the selection is limited and I have found the chefs slow for a la carte orders. I threw a birthday party here for 40 people and it was terrific. They went out of their way to make it a special event. On other occasions, though the service is indifferent and slow although still better than Umenoki where aggression is the mode or Sushiland on NE Weidler where they told me to wrap up my own take-out food. Pros: Fun atmosphere, Owner accommodating, Good sushi Cons: , Parking more

Fun and Cheap 3/21/2004

Sushiville's brand new on 23rd. Was an AMAZING deal when they had 30% off a couple months ago, but still cheap. Best inari I've found, otherwise good but standard. Pros: cheap, cool neighborhood, helpful waiters Cons: , not always fresh more

I Love This Place 1/2/2004

Sushiville is fun, quick, and tasty. Whether you're on your own or with friends, this is a great place to get your sushi fix. Service has always been really good too. Pros: fast, affordable more

Not the best place in town 6/25/2003

.... or even in NW. We checked this place out based on other reviews, but found it lacking in both service and quality of the food. Typically, we go to Sushi Takahashi on Broadway where they have twice a week specials for $1.25 per plate. We spend $30 for our family of four and leave feeling full and satisfied. At sushiville, the portions were smaller, prices higher, and service worse despite the fact that the place was nearly empty. Few plates were less than $2.25. Overall, I would say it is mediocre at best, and I don't expect we will be returning. Pros: fast Cons: small portions, prices not that great, poor service more

Inconsistent, but Good Finds 6/5/2003

Once you figure out what tastes the best here you'll be in good shape. Their sake nigiri (salmon) and unagi (freshwater eel) are very good for the price. Their dragon roll is also excellent. The spider roll is decent, but most everything else has been sub-par. Ask them about their coupon specials to find out how to save on your next visit. Pros: Inexpensive, Some items very tasty, Quick Service Cons: Some items not tasty more

Great nieghborhood lunch spot 2/3/2003

My co-workers and I have enjoyed many lunches at Sushiville. I t is a great fast with quality palce to eat. The service is a 10 (which is rare if you look at similar places such as Sushiland), and they have always greated us with smiles. Great place to go with friends. Pros: Fun, Quality, Price more

Great Value, and Service 2/3/2003

I have been to Sushiville several times now, and love it. Compared to Sushiland (were they don't know the word service) Sushiville continues to give sit down resturant service for what is traditionally a eat and go type of place. The food was excellent (the sushi rice especially. the new chef and assitants are great), and the atmosphere is cool. Pros: Quality, Service, Price more

The freshest! 2/2/2003

The freshest fish I've tasted. The Uni was as fresh as they get. The spider roll for $3.75 is a a must try. more

Fast, Hip, Cheap food 2/2/2003

The food is better than I expected from a place so cheap. The selection of sushi had a lot more variety for a conveyor sushi restuarant. Pros: Inexpensive, Good food Cons: No parking lot more

Good Food and Fun 2/1/2003

If there ever was a sushi place I would recommend it would be here. Been to Sushiville a couple of times and the waitress and chef's have been very pleasent. They were very busy but still gave great service. I would recommend this place to anyone that likes sushi. Pros: Yummy Sushi, Nice staff, Good atmosphere Cons: Busy, Parking more

Entertaining & Good Food 2/1/2003

When I entered Sushiville for the first time I was very impressed with the conveyor belt system. Fresh food going in two directions was amazing. Also the food was good and the people were nice. I especially like the rice. Pros: Good food, Nice people, Neat design Cons: Parking more

Great Food, Great People 2/1/2003

I have enjoyed eating at Sushiville many times and everytime the staff have been very friendly and the food was great. I have been to many of the other Sushi places in NW and Sushiville is by far is the Best. Pros: Cheap, Great Service, Great Food Cons: none, nada, zero more

Great food, low prices 1/31/2003

I've been to SushiVille many times because of their great food (noticed a change in the sushi chef) and great prices. The lighting was a too bright but they have dimmed it down to make the place look a lot softer. The dual conveyor entertains my kids the whole time we are there. more

Good, fresh, cheap! 1/31/2003

Stopped in to this new neighborhood spot for lunch recently...it's indeed big and bright, almost a little intimidating at first. Grabbed a seat at the sushi bar, best place to be so you can view the food as it passes by (and place custom orders with the sushi chef). Fresh fish, courteous/efficient staff. Great value! Pros: cheap, good service, great location Cons: pre-made sushi/rolls, parking more
