hai this is from ie9 Pros: Ex: strong margaritas, heated patio Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Omakase forever 7/12/2009

`Omakase` normally means you're sitting at a sushi bar, letting the chef choose delicious things for you to eat. At Sushi Roku it means you've opted to submit yourself to some of their best food with an extremely slick presentation. A breakdown of my most recent meal; Pros: Great view of the strip, best sushi in Vegas Cons: A few too many scene-folk more

Fantastic Sushi, Japanese Contemporary design, comfortable seating, strip view, great service 3/9/2009

I was so impressed with the design of this resturante. Comfortable raised leather booths, strip views and not a bad seat in the house. The food was fresh, clean with beautiful presentation. Take your time, no one is rushing you. Sip that Saki and enjoy every bite. I will eat at this resturante everytime I visit Vegas. Pros: Service, Quality of food and ambience more

Wonderful meal-Good Vegan /Vegetarian Options 12/29/2008

I ate at Sushi Roku in September 2008. My husband is a vegan and it is often difficult to find suitable options for him and sometimes staff treats us poorly as we ask a lot of questions. We had a great experience at Sushi Roku. The staff pointed out multiple options for the husband and recommended ways to modify certain dishes to ensure that they were vegan and they were happy to do so. Most people seem aggravated but they smiled and were so pleasant about it. I had a great meal myself with chicken teriyaki but my husband was in love with their food (although I cannot remember what he had). The staff made the restaurant a great option and we will certainly visit again. The food was also priced reasonably and the drinks were decent. Pros: The service, menu options, vegan/vegetarian options Cons: None more

Not terribly memorable 7/23/2008

Honestly, I've tasted better. It's not bad like Smith's Food King or Costco bad. But it's OK. Large dining area makes it nice to dine. Large windows overlooking strip. Trendy, modern decor. But aside from that, food is good, but OK. Pros: Not Costco-bad sushi Cons: OK food and atmosphere more

Check out the lunch specials 6/20/2008

Ate here for lunch recently. I had the assorted sushi sampler and a spicy tuna roll. The meal came with miso soup - - all for $19! The fish was delicious and the service was attentive and quick. Pros: Great Lunch Menu Cons: None more

Excellent food and service! 1/31/2008

WOW! This place rocks! Last night we had awesome service and incredible food! It was a HAUL from the monorail, but well worth it. By far, one of the best meals I have ever had. I went with a party of four. We started with a sake sampler (highly recommend) and ordered the chef's special for $90. What a great deal! Lots of things I never would have ordered, but everything I ate was delicious! There was a foie gras to die for and a killer sea bass with yuzu butter that I will dream about for time to come. For the prices on the menu, this was a spectacular deal and phenomenal quality. Others in my party ordered a la carte. Their food was also good, but they envied my 6 courses. Dinner was not cheap - $500 without tip, but it was memorable and yummy! If you have the funds and the appetite, I would suggest this restaurant for sure! Pros: Awesome food, great atmosphere, great presentation, quick and efficient service Cons: Expensive more

The Titan roll rocks! 1/30/2008

My mom and I went to Sushi Roku last night and had a great time. The service was excellent. I didn't have to ask for anything. They cleared plates quickly, keep cocktails coming before the current one was empty. Checked back just to check back. The Sushi Chefs were personable and very quick. Atmosphere is pretty much standard for trendy Vegas restaurants. Modern and funky. I recommend the Titan roll and the Shima. The Titan was $26 but that is to be expected in Vegas nowadays (Lobster and Steak lunch for $6.99 anyone?). The bar was packed with people generally hanging out and not exactly sitting down for dinner. We lucked out not having a reservation and sat at the sushi bar less than 10 minutes after getting there. The bartender was extremely nice as well. She was quick and friendly. Pros: delicious and fun Cons: pricey more

Not worth a number 1 ranking 10/14/2007

Sashimi quality excellent. Rolls average at best. Although the size of the yellowtail sashimi left much to be desired. Ok for tourists not for locals. Pros: Sashimi flavor Cons: Sashimi size more

Awesome View!!! 8/7/2007

What a gorgeous view! The restaurant was gorgeous too, but when in Vegas you want to see the strip and that is what I watched all night. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the sushi was too, no smoke and mirrors at this Vegas spot, unlike a lot of other places we tried. more

Great Waitstaff 7/21/2007

We received excellent service however the sushi left a lot to be desired. For the price we paid I would have expected much higher quality food. the atmosphere, drinks and waitress were wonderful but I doubt we will ever go back. Pros: service Cons: food more

Best sushi in Vegas. 7/4/2007

The first time i had sushi, i went here. AMAZING service. and AMAZING sushi. I've been to a dozen other places since then, and sushi roku remains my favorite. Only downfall? Rather pricey. But it's worth it! more

Nice ambience and excellent quality sushi - small portions very expensive - garners average rating. 6/17/2007

Eaten at Sushi Roku x 2. The service was above average - friendly waiter/ waitress. The food portions were very small for the price - I'm sure that the rent is exhorbitant and probably why prices are so high. Very nice restroom. Possibly ok for special occasions but I would prefer Japango's or Nobu for that price. more

Five stars all the way to sushi heaven 5/19/2007

...Cheesy title, but the food is nothing but. All fresh dishes, unique with spectacular presentation. The server was highly competent, friendly and very knowledgable about the dishes. The decor is ideal for any type of get together that requires a kicked back, yet sophisticated ambiance. And the view from our table was extraordinary - the bright lights from the strip wouldn't make us forget that we were in the fabulous city of LV! Pros: Service, Ambience, Cuisine, Decor, and everything in between Cons: nada more

Try the Kobe Beef Sushi 5/1/2007

The Kobe Beef Sushi was darn tasty. So tender, a piece could be split in half with a chopstick. In addition I had the Tokyo Ramen w/Pork Cha-Shu. Also very tasty, with a rich broth and a few very tender slices of pork. I am not usually a big fan of seafood sushi, but I sampled from my girlfriend's plate and was impressed with what the chefs created with the spicy tuna. Pros: Excellent service, tasty Kobe beef sushi Cons: Might be able to find cheaper Sushi elsewhere more

Best place to eat sushi! 1/27/2007

Great time! Thanks Young Lee (manager). Beautiful ambiance and views. Excellent service! Well worth the higher prices! more

Outstanding 12/1/2006

In Vegas last week from NYC. Been to Roku in LA and wanted to go in LV. Outstanding view of the strip, great FRESH fish and warm service. Mgmt came by and checked on us and helped made the night our memorable. We will be back. Pros: view, fish, service more

Not satisfying enough for the price 11/18/2006

Not the best sushi, for sure. The food was just okay. The service was kinda slow for 4.30 PM early dinner with only 2 other tables. Either she was new at the time or the kitchen was on break. My husband did not eat sushi so he ordered the Chicken GInger (something like that), he said my home cook fried chicken was better. And it took more that half an hour after we finished appetizer. Overall we was not satisfied with what we get and what we spend. more
