This venue needs SERIOUS help 5/31/2011

This place needs SERIOUS help. \r \r I had the complete displeasure of attending the DANZIG show at this place on Friday, May 27th, 2011. The staff has SERIOUS attitude problems and extremely POOR customer service skills. These guys seem to hate their lives and don’t want anyone in the place to enjoy themselves. I saw people getting tossed out of the venue (can it even be called that?) left and right. The staff (read: goons) seemed to take great pleasure in picking random people out of the crowd and tossing them out. Oh, and $9 for a drink? (C’mon now!) Who do you think you all are, the Journal Pavilion? At least there we have clean restrooms and plenty of parking. If you’re planning on seeing a show here, you have been forewarned. For the money, you’re better off at catching a show at the Marquee Theater or Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix; Abraham Chavez Theater in El Paso or the Inn of the Mountain Gods in Ruidoso, New Mexico. The “Sunshine” Theatre needs some serious help. I had to rate it a “one star”. If I could rate it lower, I would. I won't be back. \r \r \r \r more

For anyone who cares...cuz i know sunshine doesn't 5/7/2010

Hmmm. Where should i start. Why not from the beginning. We had roll-call tickets and instead of going to a ticket box and actually receiving some sort of momento saying I was there I received a mickey mouse stamp. I have always collected my concert tickets, so kinda dissapointing, but then again I really would prefer not remember being there. I don't even know where to begin with the staff. When i booked the tickets I was not told it was a nonsmoking venue, but i have been to nonsmoking venues before. Usually there is no smoking in the venue and you have to go outside to smoke. Here they threw my cigarettes along with my lighter to the ground. Needless to say i was a little stunned, so when I gave a stunned look at them they told me I could take it to my car. I was being safe and had took a taxi since I was drinking that night. When i told him that they treated me like a drug dealer or something and searched my everything for much longer than necessary. All the cigs they confiscate they put in a box for the bums to pick up or the security gets to grab into at will or something. When my friend went up and asked how we could get them back after the show after we were in the concert they had 3 guys literally pick him up and throw him out to the sidewalk. He had road rash all over one side of his body. What are their problems? I highly suspect they get thrills out of hurting people. While I was in the mosh pit they had security guards around the circle not pulling people out if they looked hurt or tired, but pushing them back in!!! I had seriously injured my elbow ( I am in a cast, typing with one hand right now) while on the main floor and I was seeking escape from the crowd. I was looking for a way out and must have went the wrong way, but a guard grabbed my hurt arm and pushed me back into the crowd, even after I told him I was hurt. He told me he didn't care. There were like 4 other guards right there that could have helped me get out, but instead a guy from the crowd helped me, thankfully, because I am seriously injured. The way I was treated all night long by the entire staff was more than inhumane...I have seen livestock treated better. I wouldn't be surprised if the guards hadn't made my injury worse. I wouldn't recommend this horrible venue to my worst enemy. Nobody should be treated that way, in fact no animal should be treated the way they treated my friends and I. I have been to venues all over the country and this is the worst ever. Save your money to go to a different state to see the band you really want to see, it is worth it in the long run. Unless you like being treated like a degraded piece of, well, you know. Pros: The band - NOFX Cons: The entire venue, especially the staff more

to who it may concern 10/30/2009

just want to say or tell who ever runs that place is doing a good job but, for kicking me and my chick out just because we wanted to buy a t-shirt and the guy was telling us we cound'nt do that just wanna say that's BULL S***! That was totally not nessasary. They could have handled that better with more profession. The way your saff handles little things like wanting to buy a t- shirt REDICKULESS. I give this place a thumbs down your staff f**king sucks. Pros: dont get me wrong it's a cool place but, Cons: your staff sucks more

I hate this Venue 10/17/2009

I never enjoy going to the Sunshine theater, I wish more bands could play at the Launchpad because I find the atmosphere a lot more civilized and humane. At sunshine you are treated like cattle, and if you protest you will either get kicked out or will feel like you have absolutely no human rights in that establishment, and who wants to feel like that? I got a door slapped in my face by the manager because I asked them about their rules. Hopefully your favorite artists will be playing else ware, and if I were a performer, I wouldn't want to deal with that type of hypocrisy either, where my fans are treated so poorly. Pros: Only one in Town Cons: Rude Staff, Prejudice, Biased Rules and Regulations more
