Sunshine Child Daycare

Sunshine daycare puts my head and heart at ease when I'm at work. When I drop my son off, he's usually running to get there. When we pick him up, he doesn't want to leave, and so we stay and play for a bit. The food is organic. They use filtered water. They avoid plastics of all kinds. Most of the time, the kids are outside in the HUGE yard playing. And when there are tears, one of the teachers is always there to hold your child, rather than ignore him. And they do what I ask, instead of having a ton of rules that parents have to follow. Sunshine daycare is awesome... more

There is a private play park for the children. All green. Organic food. Superb teachers. When I pick up my child in the afternoon I can't help, but stay myself little longer to play with him there in an idyllic rustic atmosphere, and some time I bring my mom with me, too. more

I really can't say enough about how great this daycare center is. My daughter, Catalina, started at Sunshine Child at three months old. Starting daycare is a difficult transition for any new parent, but it was made much easier by Sunshine Child. I toured the place multiple times before she started and even brought both my mom and husband to view it. The site is super clean, organized and safe. The backyard play area is wonderful. They made it easy to bring pumped breast milk and helped me keep her stocked up on what she needed. Each child has a cubby that the parents replenish with diapers, wipes, clean clothes, etc. Each day I was given a detailed report on what/ how much my baby ate, slept, etc. When she started eating solid foods they prepared healthy organic baby food for her. more

Our daughter Chloe has been attending Sunshine Child Day Care for one year, and she loves it. Everyday, she repeats the names of all her friends at day care as soon as she gets in the car. Sunshine works around the schedules of the parents. The flexible / extended hours, the spacious outdoors and the healthy, balanced meals that they diligently prepare every morning are just some of the features that set this center apart from the others. Additionally, all members of the staff are warm and caring. As a parent, I feel so reassured to drop my daughter off at a place where she has a great time while growing and learning. Her vocabulary began to blossom ever since she began spending time at this center. I have had my 2 1/2 year old here since she was 6 weeks. I then had another daughter who had been here since she was 6 weeks. Honestly, I love the owner and his wife liek family. The ladies that are the teachers I thought the world of as well; unitl today. Me and my family have been apart of this place for over 2 1/2 years and yesterday a Inspector was there and they had to many kids. I was dropping off diapers and they begged me to take my children so they wouldn't get in trouble. I did. This morning me and my husband went to drop them off and found out that he had 10 infants to many for what the State allows. I was told that my kids could not stay. I was outraged and hurt. I have been with them since they opened. I asked him why since we have been there since the beggining was he choosing our children and he said he chose the family's that lived the closest to the Daycare. I live 8 blocks away! When I got upset with him he told me we didn't pay as much as the other kids. (we were on the same rate that he gave us when we started) He not only never called me the night before to tell me, he let me drive there on our way to work to turn us away! I am shocked and upset that he knowingly had 10 kids to many and then put many families in this situation. I was just one of the poor schmuks to get there early. People that have a good heart do not do this to people that treated them like family!!! I would not recommend this place. Let me make this clear. The teachers there are priceless, owners greed for money and bending the law is not! more
