After a walk in the incredibly humid New Orleans weather, we were looking forward to some much needed Thai...

The atmosphere was excellent. 3/29/2011

The atmosphere was excellent. Reasonable prices. Not to mention the food was spicy. When they say ""Thai Hot"" they mean it. Some of the spiciest yet flavorful food ever. more

Sukho is very interesting. 3/29/2011

Sukho is very interesting. The decor is nothing special but the location is very cool. more

The best Thai restaurant in New Orleans. 3/23/2011

This has to be the best Thai restaurant in New Orleans. And it's extremely vegan and vegetarian friendly. Just be sure to specify no fish sauce and eggs (if you're very vegan, like me). more

I eat takeout here almost once a week. 3/22/2011

I eat takeout here almost once a week. I always order their vegetable green curry with tofu. It's a huge container that you could have two dinners with or share it with someone, and it comes with rice. Nice service. I need to come here for dinner and have their whole fried fish. more

Fresh Food! 3/21/2011

Our experience at Sukho Thai was so pleasurable that we went back the very next night. The food is fresh, attractively presented, exquisitely spiced with many layers of flavor--a feast for the senses! more

Was very good. 3/8/2011

We were the people in the restaurant and found it clean and comfortable. The waiter advised we could run down to the bar next door and bring back a drink or beer if we wanted since Sukho does not have a liquor license. We declined and had thai ice tea instead, which was very good. more

Enjoy your night here 2/25/2011

I can't get enough of this place. If you have lived in major cities with a lot of Thai restaurants and you know Thai cuisine, you'll be disappointed by most Thai restaurants in New Orleans. Sukho is head and shoulders above the rest. The menu has a great variety of dishes, the atmosphere is casual and comfortable, and the staff are friendly. The seafood dishes are some of my favorite. The whole snapper over three flavor sauce is awesome. I even saw a couple taking a picture with one of those one night :) The lime steamed fish, pineapple seafood curry, and curried softshell crab are also best bets. The Broken Net soup has a aroma and a mix of herbs and spices in a combination seafood soup that I find myself craving time and again. Their Pad Thai is right on, and ther have a unique take on Drunken Noodles that's richer than most Thai restaurants. There are a couple of dishes with peanut sauce that I don't care for, but there so many great things to choose. Bring a bottle of wine and enjoy the night because they don't have alcohol. And be careful of the Thai hot! That's too hot for me and most anyone I know. Enjoy! more
