My friend invited my daughter to a ""Princess Party"" there, and I really had pretty low expectations going in to a hair salon for a Birthday party, but I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED by the excellent services they offered. It was a nice, calm and relaxing atmosphere with lots and lots of princess-themed decor in several of the rooms. I thought the price was a little steep at first, but there were 3-5 ladies there who took care of EVERYTHING! The only thing we had to bring was the ice cream. The children were greeted at the door with their princess crowns and taken to a room to put on their robes.The birthday girl got a mini-facial and all of them got to put on some make-up. They all got to have their nails and toes done and played games on the Wii and with some of the toys in the princess play room. They looked too cute! My daughter can't stop talking about it! I am almost certain she is going to want her party there in Oct. The only bad thing I can say is that I wish they would have offered the adults a free picture of juice or water. I was THIRSTY. LOL!! 5 STARS!! Great job and concept!! more

I was amazed to find out that a Hair Salon actually offered birthday parties for little girls. When I found out about the ""Princess Parties"" through my Fiance,that happens to be a hairstylist at the salon, I immediately booked my nieces ""Princess Party"". The princess party was such a success. They gave my niece and her party guests manicures, pedicures, pizza,prizes,and even gave my niece a facial. She loved the whole experience. They have a room full of toys that the kids could play with and even had a Wii Game for them to play. I recommend the ""Princess Party"" for those who want a nice luxurious party for a nice price. The girls absolutely loved it, and wants another one booked for next year. more

This is a salon and spa that cares about the quality of your services. Unlike most things that are low-priced, u get MORE than what you pay for. Most of all, this salon is open EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK! Yes, even Sunday! The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and your services are REMARKABLE! Studio six is a FULL service salon that offers massages, facials, basic manicures and pedicures, and even has ""Princess Parties"" for girls ages 5-21! Talk about a unique and quality place to be! I've been patronizing Studio 6 for more than a year and have always found them courteous and professional. Time is important to me and I particularly like the fact that I have never spent 4 to 5 hours in Studio 6 having my hair relaxed, colored, cut and styled. Whether I am getting a shampoo and style or the works, I am usually out within an hour and a half to 3 hours. Prices are very competitive and so are the styles. One or two days a week, usually Monday and Thursday, they offer extremely reasonable prices. They are very accommodating when it comes to scheduling last minute appointments or accepting walk-ins. A big plus for me is the professional behavior of the staff - YOU ARE NOT SUBJECTED TO GOSSIP! more

If you have a daughter you must go to studio 6 and experience there princess parties.I had my daughter's princess party at studio 6, It was great.The girls received a real spa day that included pedicures,manicures facials, pizza, decorated cup cakes.They had the most adorable robes and slippers for the kids.They had a really nice play area for the kids to play when they wasn't receiving a services, to keep them occupied.The princess eating area was decorated so nice it make you feel like a princess.After shopping around at other places. The price was affordable and the kids received a lot of services. They had so much fun.The girls didn't want to leave.I'am so happy I choose studio 6. I've had nothing but good service from this salon. I like the service, the girls are always nice and friendly, they do a really good job. I'll admit the prices are what drew me to the salon, but if the atmosphere was unbearable and the people were unpleasant I wouldn't go back. I think they are also very professional, I've had no hesistation about going back. more

I lived in St. Louis for several years trying beautician, salon, etc via ads, word of mouth with varying degrees of success. Finally took a recommendation from a friend whose hair was always together. That was 10 years ago and I'm still a customer. I usually see the owner - Marquita - but with her schedule and mine over the years I've had to see others. I've had a few bad experiences - usually with the new, young stylist but Marquita has always been approachable and reasonable in resolving any problems I've had. With my schedule now I see Kim most of the time. I've never been adventurous with my hair but after being with Marquita a year or two I went from mid-length to short [to everyone's surprise] and I get compliments all the time. When the gray 'exploded' she and her staff have protected it and maintained it well [every once and a while they try to get me to try color - not ready for that yet]. If you have a bad experience here, you're one of the few. I bring out of town family and friends here for a treat. My niece goes there on her when she's in town - and she's picky. I've tried spa services here and there, enjoyed it but trust me get the 1hr massage, 1/2 hr just isn't long enough. Enjoy. more

My hair was very healthy before I went, and the only reason I went there it was my birthday and a girl I knew worked there and my regular stylist was out of town. Well my hair is very long, and she burnt my hair so bad that I have area's were the hair is only a couple of inches long due to my hair breaking. My shirt I was wearing was ruined by the color she used. Pros: Nothing Cons: Horrible service more

I went there in lieu of my regular stylists who was ill. My daughter just needed a wash and basic flat iron. When I called, I asked for a ""seasoned stylist"" who knew about healthy hair. My daughter goes to the beauty salon every week and her hair was extremely healthy and shoulder length. When she went back to our regular stylists she showed me parts of her hair that were obviously burnt out from the stylist the week before. My daughter then told me ""mama she curled every piece of my hair at least 6-7 times. I am furious needless to say. Now we have to start over to get her hair back to a healthy status. Never again. Get more training for your staff and give the customers what they ask for because the girl was new and I knew it because she worked another shop I am familiar with. Stop chasing money and give good service. Cons: bad customer service and lack of competency more

I come to this place on a regular. My style is simple. But when one day I ask to have my hair pinned up no sprits. And the lady felt like I asked her a algebra question. She pulled my hair back in a wanna be hawk and legy it like that. I paid 30 bucks only because I got a relaxer. After I left I went straight to the beauty store and got some bonny pins. Did my hair in the bathroom. No sprits. Its Been done before at other salons. I felt bad for the lady. No pun up with out sprits? Its easier than doing it with! Ya know? more

What made me anxious to try this salon is the prices.The prices are well below the competitors so I had to see what they had to offer. I went during their happy hour special. When I was escorted to the spa area the staff was friendly but drab decor and lack of ambiance wasnt very welcoming.The Happy hour provided an unimpressive spread of salami,crackers,hand torn cheese slices, and cheap wine.\r When it was time for my Spa services there was no locker room.There was a simple outdated bathroom.The robes were dingy and the house shoes were the fabric kind that curl up after being washed too many times.\r My message was sub-par but I enjoyed my facial. My overall experience wasnt really a pleasant one. The staff was friendly but I didnt like the facility or the amenities (or lack there of) at all. What good is a spa day if you you dont leave refreshed,relaxed,and rejuvenated? Pros: Great Prices Cons: You get what you pay for more
