Best

I have nothing but respect for the staff and physicians at this establishment. I would highly recommend Dr Mark and his wonderful staff to everyone!!

Worst

In my opinion.....Dr Mark is the best doctor ever! 10/12/2009

I guess everyone has their opinion in what they are seeking in a practitioner. I personally had been to doctor after doctor after doctor. A friend suggested I see Dr Mark and I reluctantly agreed. I was so frustrated by previous attempts. Yes, the number of tests he ran at my first few visits seemed like quite a lot. I had been so used to being blown off that I was shocked at meeting someone who would not stop until he found out what was wrong with me. In my opinion Dr. Mark saved my life! Based on the tests he ran it was discovered that my gall bladder was not functioning. I was scheduled within a few days to have this removed. I selected the surgeon, who reviewed my test results, and agreed with the diagnosis. Since having the surgery I feel 100% better in that area. Also, I was suffering from horrible, crippling neck pain. Dr Mark referred me to a neurosurgeon in Nashville who is also highly spoken of. A real live neurosurgeon, not one of these pain management clinics that make an embarrassing fortune stringing people along, some of which are just there for narcotics and not an actual treatment! I am currently on the mend from neck surgery and am virtually (as I am still healing!) pain free! I feel better than I have in years! I would refer anyone, anytime, anywhere to see Dr Mark! His thoroughness is not to be taken lightly!. I take great comfort in knowing that he will research and do test to avoid a misdiagnosis! Dr. Mark - you are THE man!!!!!! Pros: Thorough, kind, accurate Cons: Long office wait times more

Dr. Josovitz Is A Wonderful Doctor 9/26/2009

If it were not for Dr. Mark Josovitz, I would not have my husband with me today. No other doctor in Nashville or Murfreessboro could help with his diagnosis. Dr. Mark kept on until he found his problems -- either by researching himself or referring him to several very good specialists. We both are his patients and are glad that we have him because we'll not find another who'll be as caring and concerned about our medical issues. Pros: Caring, Wonderful staff, Wait time for appointment is short Cons: Haven't found any yet more

Not interested in the root of the problem. 5/17/2009

While the staff and the PA at Stone River Medical are generally friendly, I have my reservations about the job they're doing. I've been in several times over the last few months. I've been effectively dismissed several times. Once,, because the one test they can do regarding a problem I've been having doesn't show anything abnormal. Despite the fact that I'm still having pain. I've been prescribed several medications, which had little to no affect with treating my illness. I feel like I'm having more luck diagnosing myself rather than continually paying out a copay to have another useless prescription dropped in my lap (the PA is very good at whipping out prescriptions, I'll say that), another vague test run, and a general dismissal when it comes to the problem(s) I've come into the office to discuss. I'll be finding a new doctor who will, I hope, actually listen to what is ailing me and work actively with me to find a solution. ETA: I just got a call today from SRMG. They wanted me to come in for test results. These test results were in two months ago. I called two days after the test (24 hour bl00d pressure monitor) and asked for the results. They told me then (after some general confusion of not knowing what they were talking about) that everything was fine. I specifically asked if I needed to come in. They said I didn't. When I asked the nurse why she was calling me to come into the office two months after the fact she said ""I don't know. I'm just doing what she told me."" My reflection is: they're trying to get a copay out of me. If there was a problem with my results (which I've seen and which look fine--according to my research--though I will be taking them when I find a new doctor) then you need to tell me when I call for the results, not wait two months after the fact and then try to get more money out of me. Do not use this medical office. ETA - November 13 2010. I just received a bill in the mail. Now, it's not for much, but it's dated from May of 2009. I haven't been into this office since then, for the reasons outline above. So I'll be calling them Monday to find out three things - What the bill is pertaining to. Why it took them a year and a half to send the bill to me. If there are any other ""outstanding"" charges under my name that they would like to tell me about so a year from now I do not receive another surprise in the mail. Pros: Friendly PA, generally friendly staff Cons: Lack of communication, lack of detail, more

Dr. Turpin Best Ever!!!! 4/10/2009

Dr. Turpin is the best Dr I have ever found. He will sit with me and really help me. He talks to me on my level. His staff is also the best. He has great ppl working for him. I would not go to any other dr. The other ppl on here saying bad things about him..... you must be crazy or one of those ppl that bad mouth dr after they dont give you your way. Cause he was very caring and very helpful. Pros: Wonderful Man more

I love Dr. Turpin 3/31/2009

Dr Turpin was very good to me,I have many medical problems and he had to take all those in condideration to help me. He sent me for a couple of tests that needed doing. Tests my local dr.s didn't even condider. I like my local Dr.s but do not think they take my illnessses seriously enuff and do not order the tests I need to see how far my disease has progressed or how it is affecting my body. Dr. Turpin was different. He was concerned with my over all health. He told me that my Dr.s had ruined my adrenal glands with thier 10 years of prednisone use. He was very straight forward and acted like a human being. He wanted me to come back so he could see that I got the care I needed. He was going to send me to specialists for the illnesses I have that he is not as familiar with as he thought he needed to be. I Love Dr. Turpin. I would reccomend him highly. Pros: he was very caring, really wanted to help me. Cons: only con was I had to drive 40 mi to see him!! more

There are better doctors in the area 2/23/2009

Dr Josovitz was rude, arrogant, and did not want to hear my husband's symptoms. He gave my husband a $60 prescription for a problem he didn't have and wanted to run a bunch of tests that were not needed. He also wanted to send him to a doctor ""friend"" and no his doctor friend was not a surgeon. He did some lab tests before my husband left the clinic but refuses to give us the results unless my husband comes back in which he will not be doing. My husband went to another doctor who knew exactly what was wrong with my husband and sent him straight to a surgeon the very next day. My husband had surgery three days after seeing the surgeon and is now on the mend. Anyone who wants to use this dr. should do a search on him and decide after reading comments. more

Best Doctor in town 1/6/2009

This man is an amazing person. I went in there unknowing to find a doctor that was so nice and actually listened to me. He was more concerned about my well being than any other doctor I know. I barely even knew the man and his advice he gave me was very helpful and reassuring. I recommend this doctor to anybody. As far as the woman that gave him a bad review, You are probably a hypochondriac. I don't really know you but ever doctor could misdiagnose something or even just neglect the problem. I'm just saying that I feel confident in Dr. Turpin to be the best for that. Like I said though, every doctor can make a mistake. The point is GO SEE THIS MAN. He is the best!! more

Best Doctor Ever 12/10/2008

Dr. Turpin is the absolute best doctor I have ever seen. He is straightforward. He will actually spend time with you, instead of rushing you in and out. I would recommend him to anyone in the State of Tennessee. He was caring and genuine. He is just unlike any doctor I have ever seen. Pros: Everything was excellent. Best doctor ever more

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE 10/9/2008

Be very careful of this doctor, and I use this term loosely. He is arrogant, pompous, non-caring and he certainly does not listen to anything you say. He constantly interrupts you to talk about himself and he does not allow family members in the room with you even if you request that they come with you. WHY? What is he hiding. I understand HIIPA, but if you, as the patient, request that your family member accompanies you there should be NO discussion. \r \r The only way I would recommend this dr is if I really, really, really hated someone. Then I would tell them he is the greatest.\r \r He finishes his appointments by saying ""Jesus loves you"". Ok I agree, but I would rather that he listen with both ears, process what I am telling him, make a proper diagnosis and not dismiss me as though there is nothing wrong with me.\r \r I know beyond a shadow of a doubt there is a problem with my body but he is certainly NOT the one to help diagnosis it as he is clueless!!!!!!!!!\r \r Run away as fast as you can. Go see a Veteranarian, it would be safer! Cons: TOO MANY TO LIST more

Best clinic I've visited, ever. 8/31/2008

I live in Macon, GA, and after years of depending on local internal medicine doctors for mine and my family's needs, a good friend recommended Dr. Mark Josovitz in Murfreesboro, TN,, if I wanted the best of care and if I didn't mind driving the distance. I first visited Stones River Medical Group in Murfreesboro about seven years ago and have been traveling back to see Dr. Josovitz several times a year ever sincce. He treats me for hypertension, arthritis, diabetes along with other problems and I am totally pleased with every visit . I highly recommend Dr. Mark Josovitz to anyone who isn't happy with their present health care and desire being treated by someone who really cares and who truly knows what he's doing. Pros: Dr. Josovitz shows real concern for his patients' well being. He is an expert doctor. more

NEVER GO HERE!----Their Staff has broken the Privacy Rule 5/23/2008

NEVER GO HERE!----Their Staff has broken the Privacy Rule several times by their office staff sharing patients personal information with everyone. Their office manager and the staff and the doctors cannot BE TRUSTED! WARNING! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! We are in the process of filing formal complaints against Dr Turpin and the staff and office manager. Cons: they will violate your Privacy, and HIPPA laws! more

Worst Doctor - Dr. Paul Turpin - Sones River Meidcal Group, Murfreesboro, TN 3/27/2007

Dr. Paul Turpin - I scheduled an appointment to set up a PCP as I had just moved to Murfreesboro, TN. Through the transition of moving I was given an upsetting dx two weeks ago when I sought emergency care. I waited for one hour and 15 mins before being verbally attacked or in their words, ""being seen by the dr,"" in my words, ""being seen by Satan's brother!"" I was prescribed medication that has a side effect of insomnia. When he looked at the medication that was prescribed for me he started to berate me, accused me of having my dx my entire life, that I must have destroyed everything and everyone in my past, called me a liar. I just met this man and was only looking to establish a PCP and told him I was having trouble with sleep. I had gone on line to research AmbienCR, they offered a certificate for a free trial. He adamantly told me he would not prescribe it and continued to ask questions, interrupting me as soon as I began to speak, with horrible accusations of me personally. Again, I had just met this man. I broke down in tears and cannot get this horrible man and his treatment of myself out of my head. Truly the worst dr I have ever encountered in my entire life and honestly it scares me to realize this man practices medicine. This just happened yesterday and I am still in shock. I am contacting the State of TN Medical Complaint Board, he was that bad. I would recommend NOT seeing this horrendous man for anything, life or death, not even a hang nail! But I have to say he had the most compassionate, caring nurse, Hannah, who stood there in shock herself. Can someone offer this wonderful nurse a better job so that she does not have to work for this monster?!!!!! Now for fairness, I passed Dr. Josovitz with a patient in the hall, he appeared joyous, his patient was smiling. I do not want this review to reflect on Dr. Josovitz whom I had no patient/dr contact with. more

Wonderful Staff, Excellent Doctor !!!!! 9/21/2006

I highly recommend this Medical Center. One of the first MD's and staff that I have encountered that actually LISTEN to the PATIENTS!! BRAVO!!!!!!! more
