This log cabin style restaurant has excellent views of the Clackamas River and their outside deck great spot for a drinks and dinner. Very relaxing a peaceful...and the food was excellent. I decided to take my boyfriend to Stone Cliff because one of my friends told me it was currently her ""favorite"" place for dinner! She was right!! I called the day of our date to make restervations and the gentleman on the phone was very polite and helpful. I wasn't sure if I wanted to sit outside pending the chilly weather but he said he would make sure we had a window seat. When we arrived we were pleasantly greeted and showed right to our ""window seat"".. We had the spinach dip as an appetizer.. and it was delicious.. highly recommend it! Our waiter was very polite and prompt with service and our dinner was very tasty as well! Overall I would recommend it for a romantic dinner date or even a fun dinner out w/ friends! It was great!! My husband and I decided to try Stone Cliff on a recommendation from a friend that had brunch there. We went for dinner around 5:30 on a Saturday night without any reservation and we had no problem being seated (this was in the wet spring and you may want to make a reservation during warmer months). My husband and I dine out often and we were both so impressed with the food and service, that the restaurant surpasses MANY of the fine dining establishments in downtown Portland! The prices are on average $25 for a dinner entree but the amazing food, outstanding service, and beautiful view of the river make the price well worth the experience. We look forward to trying brunch there soon and will definitely be back for dinner again and again! Pros: Amazing food and the best service you will ever encounter! We decided to try this place based on a friends recommendation. We went for brunch on a Sunday sipped on bloody mary's. I had the ribs and my husband has a burger and salmon chowder (which was soooo good) I would go back just for the drinks and chowder. Great service very relaxing would definatly go back many times!! Next time I will try the salmon scramble. Enjoy! more

Restuarant is beautiful. food is expensive and average. Drinks expensive and less than average. If you can go in and lookk around and leave without spending a cent you are in great shape. Pros: ambience Cons: everything else more
