Stephen (Steve) Mahr is a veteran Mortgage Specialist; having served as a Loan Officer, Program Developer, Trainer, and Manager. He brings over 18 years of experience to Tri Counties Bank and offers common sense and strategic solutions to the home mortgage process; whether buying a first home, a cabin in the woods, or building your dream mansion, he can help you navigate it all. Steve studied Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry at Cal State U’s, San Jose and Sacramento. In 1995, after a short stint in sales and finance on California’s Central coast, he returned home to the Sacramento area to be closer to his family. ‘Falling’ into the Mortgage Industry business in 1995 Steve says, “I found my calling; I get to use all my investigative science and mathematics education combined with my love for housing, construction, and land development, -the perfect blend of two worlds!” Steve lives in Fair Oaks with his two children and their two dogs. He is a certified swim instructor and coach, is active in the Placer County Association of Realtors, and enjoys getting his boat out for local fishing trips.
