as I also work in the healthcare field, and tend to diagnose and treat myself, but Dr. Lane has been the nicest, most professional doc I have been to in a long time. He puts me at ease and calls me back himself with test results or if I have questions. My last physician didn't seem to know what a phone was or how to use it. I feel well cared for and know that I will live a long and healthy life with him as my physician. more

I have to agree with the last post. Dr. Lane has been seeing my husband and I for about a year and a half now. We are very pleased. Dr. Lane was recommeneded by our son's pediatrician. We have since discovered that several of our neighbors also see Dr. Lane. I have not heard a negative comment about him - unusual! We have found Dr. Lane to be very thorough. Most importantly, we do not feel intimidated seeing him. He is very easy to talk to, even about difficult situations. Dr. Lane's staff are also wonderful. They are always pleasant on the phone and in person. I like the fact that they know who I am - I feel like I'm more than just a number! more

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Lane for 4-years now and we can’t say enough about him! We started with him on the recommendation of a friend, when Dr. Lane was in Marshfield with Jordan Hospital. He went off on his own about 2-years ago and is now affiliated with the South Shore Hospital. His office is in Scituate (on the Driftway), very convenient to Marshfield, Hingham, Cohasset, and Norwell. I know several people who drive up from Plymouth to see him. Dr. Lane is a great doctor: kind, compassionate, and takes the time to listen. He also follows-up on issues, often calling me with lab results, etc. He seems to always run close to on-time and I am never in the office for more than 25 or 30 minutes for my entire appointment. His staff (only 3, I believe) are awesome. They are always able to get me in for appointments on the same-day, when necessary. They know my name and are very personable. We were in a large practice in the past (Harbor Medical) and found that we were numbers. Dr. Lane’s practice is so much friendlier. He covers his own practice, so when you call off-hours, you always get him. My two children (ages 2 and 4) love Dr. Lane. My husband also sees him and finds him easy to talk to and very thorough. He also likes his late hours (open until 8pm). I’ve even got my mother going to Dr. Lane now (she’s happy with him also).
