The best cheese breadsticks I have had in a very long time!! The pizza is great too! I would say the only thing is if you go when it is busy be prepared to wait a little while, but it is so worth it. I will definitely be back for more and this place is now my #1 stop for breadsticks!!! more

Great Pizza! 10/24/2011

My husband and I were in mood for pizza, but not the same pizza we eat regularly. This place was hidden off of Sawdust,so we never had seen it except I had to go to Hobby Lobby this weekend. The pizza has an incredible crisp airy crust with an amazing sauce. We were torn between the Steak one and the all meat one. We chose the meat one becuase we weren't willing to take our chances with a pizza that didn't have a traditional tomato sauce. The meat lovers pizza had great flavor, wasn't oily, and the cheese has a wonderful fresh flavor. The service was very welcoming and took about about average time to get the food. We had potato skins as an appetizer. They came out right before the pizza. I would have liked them a bit quicker. Our glasses stayed filled. Ben, our server did a great job! We will be back to try the other pizza he suggested. more

Horrible Service 10/9/2011

I have been a loyal customer of Steel City for at least 3 years and have always been more than impressed with the service. I placed an order with Steel City at about 8:40 pm on October 8, 2011. I had ordered from this establishment many times before and was told to expect my pizza in 45 minutes. My friends, dogs, and I were in the back yard and my mother remained in the home. At about 8:45 the pizza had not yet arrived and I retrevied my phone to call, at this time I noticed that the driver had called me twice. I called the pizza place and was told in so many words that it was my fault that I didn't have a piiza because I didn't answer my phone. I expected based on past performance that they would be able to find my home and also expect a business that delivers anything to be responsible for finding their customers. After talking to many rude people who basically told me they would not help me a gentleman said he would give us 50% off and that we would have it in 15-20 minutes this was around 10 pm. At 10:23 the driver called me because he was just now leaving the establishment and needed directions. He did not arrive until about 10:40-45. I called the establishment again and was treated rudly and told to pay the man and live with the situation basically. As it would turn out the pizzas were cold and it was very obvious that these were the pizzas orginally made at 8:40. I am so disappointed because I loved this place so much and this has left a horrid tastein my mouth now. more

Great food. Terrible service and management. 10/4/2011

A large group of Steelers fans and I visited for the first time the night before the Steelers Texans game this past weekend (10/01/11). It was crowded, and we completely expected that, but I don't think our waitress did. When a team that travels as well as the Steelers comes to town, you're obviously going to see an influx of activity across the board of many types of businesses, ESPECIALLLY one marketed to the fans/team themselves. The perception was that Steel City has never seen a night as busy as this, and didn't know how to handle it.\r \r Initially we really had a great time watching all the college football scores, enjoying the activity and the food was GREAT! Throughout the evening, we had consistent issues with getting attention from our server but gave her a lot of slack and grace. But when the end of the evening came and we were ready to leave, we wanted for an hour to get our bill - no exaggeration. A member of our party asked to speak with the manager, who seemed to just give her attitude. When finally the owner came over to speak to us, I heard him utter the phrase to a Pittsburgher in our party, ""Well, if you're from Pittsburgh, you should be used to waiting 4 hours to get service,"" as though that offered any excuse or consolation. Not the best way to do business. We paid our bill in full and were never offered any discount or comped items.\r \r None of our party of 10 or so will ever go back here. more
