Got in a great late season Powder Day! 5/1/2009

Judy's book sent a message asking for an update so here you go. Caught a fantastic last day of March with waist deep powder and a great pair of guides. Lunch was awesome as always and had fun with the group in my cat. Too much fun so go if you have the chance. more

Awesome!!! 3/9/2009

What a perfect Steamboat Day!!! Great Staff, great cat and Buffalo Pass gets the most snow in the state. We were psyched when the snow report for the ski area showed a foot new and couldn't believe when there was well over 2 feet of new up there. We asked our guides why and they said this isn't uncommon given that Buff Pass is the first mountain that gets hit as the snow comes in and the measuring station there gets more snow than any other in the state. Plan a special day here and you won't be disappointed. more

Steamboat Powder Cats 8/15/2005

Powder Cats is great for a few days after each storm since they have so much terrian to ski. I recommend skiing the area the first day and then heading out to Powder Cats. Be careful on choosing your ability level because it isn't cool to slow down a group of faster skiers. more

Amazing Way to Spend The Day 8/10/2005

When I got the chance to spend the day cat skiing I was thrilled. These guys take up to 12 people in a cat with 3 guides out to Buffalo Pass. We got a bout 15 runs in during the day, but they were incredible. If they hadn't provided a photographer to take pics and video all day no one would believe it. The terrain they took us on was well suited for everyone in our group which ranged from beginner to advanced. The cat was sparkling and very comfortable. The provided lunch was great, even though they claimed that it wasn't up to their usual levels. We went on the last day of the season so they had packed up most of the stuff. The lunch cabin is great. Well heated, with a real toilet. ; ) (Thats crucial for the ladies after a day in the woods) I would definately recommend this to anyone who can afford it. (It costs about the same as 4 days of skiing.) more
