the slots don't payout and never won anything on the tables better off throwing your money out the window only good thing was the island buffet food was very good would not recomm...

the slots don't payout and never won anything on the tables better off throwing your money out the window only good thing was the island buffet food was very good would not recommend playing the casino games or slots never won anything in 5 years of playing waste of time and money plus they don't give any worth while comps unless you lose a ton of money more

Fun place to go when there is nothing to do in Wheeling 9/23/2005

Wheeling Downs is a really fun place to go if you have nothing to do in Wheeling and are tired of the bar scene. There's slot machines, races, card tables, etc... and they serve pretty good food. But, I've noticed that a lot of staff members seem pretty incompetent. When you need help with something, there usually isn't anyone who is capable of helping you unless you go to the desk. Otherwise, it's a fun place. more

It's definitely not Vegas, but if you have an itch to gamble it's a good distraction. They have aisles and aisles of slot machines, MANY different themes to choose from and range from nickel slots on up. They also have the dog track if the slots aren't your thing or you just need to get away from all the dinging noises. They have a couple restaurants to choose from. For those who are into Bingo, they've also got that - a little pricier than most places from what I understand, but also better payout if you win. They even have the occasional concert or fight. more

They added a hotel to this already fun hotspot, making it even better! Wheeling Downs is fun for a night out on the town (slot machines, card games, drinks and food! Need I say more?). Whether you're alone or with a group of friends, you will have a blast here (unless of course, you lose your shirt). It's somewhat crowded, but most casinos are. They have a great buffet and lots of perks if you sign up to be a preferred member. Overall it's great fun for those 18 and over. more
