A crew in to clean my MBR pulled in the suction tubing, which was leaking, and dumped a considerable amount of dark colored liquid on my cream colored carpet (as well as from my front door through the LR-floor dark hardwood so I thought it was just water). This ""fluid"" was obviously from the previous home where there must have been sick dogs. The crew steamed the dirty spillage into my carpet and padding leaving my carpet sopping wet and smelling like dirty dog. After reporting this to SS-Raleigh, a second crew (who I wish had come the first day) came and attempted to reclean my carpet. They sprayed a deodorizer afterward and left leaving my carpet very damp. The dirty water steamed into my padding and carpet has not come out. There is a smell of dirty wet dog waffing up from the carpet and is much more pronounce on humid days. The franchise owner came to my home and unilaterally decided there was nothing wrong with my carpet and even stated it smelled very nice. I was refused, at the very least, a refund. After contacting corporate SS, I was issued a refund. I have filed a complaint and the franchise owner responded by saying that SS did not steam fluid into my carpet but sucked it out. This tells me that this guy must have flunked carpet cleaning 101 but had the financial resources to open this business. If you use SS-Raleigh, be aware of the crew before letting them in your home. Inspect their equipment and their general appearance. If the equipment looks dirty and if they are dirty/sweaty/smelly from a previous difficult cleaning...do not let them in your home! Do not pay in cash! Best solution...use Rug Doctor from your local grocery or home improvement store. You will get a better result and you can control how dry the carpet is when you finish. I will never use SS again.
