This is one of my favorite places for weddings. Not only is the hotel beautiful both inside and out, but their staff gives service that is second to none. Their outdoor setting for weddings offers the bride a dramatic entrance down their marble ( I think it's marble) staircase to be married with gorgeous mountain views. Alternatively, their indoor locations are beautiful as well. You pretty much can't go wrong here. Their restaurant is an ideal location for lunch or dinner after a day of poking around in beautiful Estes Park. Bring your out of town guests here--they will all want a firsthand look at where the Shining was filmed! more

Because this hotel inspired the author of the horror movie The Shining, guests of this luxury hotel can also indulge themselves in ghost tours of the property and watch The Shining whenever they feell like it. Besides its otherworldly attributes, this hotel wraps you in traditional luxury. All the rooms have big beds and soft towels and bedding. The hotel also has several cottages and villas that include kitchens and hot tubs. This hotel is located right in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, off of an alpine lake. Standard room prices start at 110 dollars and customer service here is very good. more
