Best

Still the best in the area for many years.

Worst

I'm sorry. I wanted to love this place. It is right down the street from me and gets great reviews but everytime I order it's way over priced and I can get better pizza at Papa Jo...

nothing special!!! 3/20/2006

The pizza I got was ok, nothing super special. The girl that helped me was rude, and told her co-worker to take my order so she could go have a cig. Thats great service. Pros: zip, zip, zip Cons: very, rude, staff more

Thin Crust Fan 3/10/2006

I go past the Atlanta Rd exit (they've really gentrified that area!) on the way home & decided to stop & pickup a pizza to take home - to Douglasville. This was about 5 o'clock, and nobody else was there. It didn't take 10 mins to cook, and it was still warm when I got home. I liked the crust, and the sauce wasn't too sweet. Very good pizza. FYI, it tastes the same as Sammy's Pizza in Douglasville. more

Good Pizza 3/5/2006

Saw the blip in the paper and tried them on a couple of occasions. We actually live in Austell but this will be a trip we'll take every so often. The place is small and busy. About the food. We did slices and hot wings the first time. They were very good. Second time around we did a pie and half salads. Also very good. I would recommend the house salad and a slice. Service was good. They need more space and after reading the reviews on this site that seems to be a common theme. It reminds me of the time Bellas had the smallish space and then opened the larger space. They'll need to do that eventually. We'll be back again. Pros: Food, Server Cons: Parking, WAY too small, Ambience more

AWFUL! 1/27/2006

This was the first time I ever went to St. Angelo's and I will never go again. I ordered a Chicago style pizza, with mushrooms on half. They gave my pizza away to another customer. I had to sit and wait another 30 min for them to make my pizza. When I got home with it the pizza was covered in BBQ sauce and not what I ordered. I ordered a salad as well. I find it hard to believe that a whole salad feeds 3-4 people. A whole salad at Everybody's Pizza feeds 3-4 people and is cheaper and tastier. I did receive my money back, but I would never go back again. Several other customers were upset as well because their orders were messed up. Cons: Horrible service more

Great folks, great place 1/18/2006

After living across the street for over a year, I am finally putting a review on here. Just know the food is great. The place is always busy and it's definitely the best in town. Try the works pizza or the doughboys. You won't regret it. It's small and tough to sit at luch but dinner is usual pretty easy to sit. Most of the hubbub is delivery guys going in and out of the door. Pros: Food, Service Cons: Sometimes too crowded, Small more

AWESOME PIZZA JOINT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 12/7/2005

We moved to the Smyrna area from Roswell and looked online for restos and found the #1 rating on Citysearch. Checked it out and what a great call and well-deserved recognition for Best Pizza. I've had better up North but this is the best place I've found here. We've been there a couple of times now. The pizza and wings are excellent. My wife loves the greek salad with their house dressing. Admittedly, service was a tad on the slow side but friendly. There was a line out the door which was a pretty good sign that this place can make pizza. Waves of folks kept coming and going with carryout. The place is small because it seems to be more designed for delivery/takeout. There are ooths which my wife and I just enjoyed sitting and people watching. Didn't meet the owner but maybe next time. Have fun. Pros: Food, Crowd, Price Cons: Small space more

HORRIBLE SERVICE 12/1/2005

I decided to try out the #1 ranked pizza place in Atlanta but I'm very sorry that I did. The service was absolutely awful!! It took them over an hour to make a medium pizza alone. After seeing many people who arrived after me receive their food I went up to the front counter to find out what the problem was. The owner told me that they had lost my ticket and were making the pizza now. I told him that it was ridiculous that I had to wait over an hour for a pizza and his response was ""Do you want me to do something about it?"" Not only was that rude but I didn't even receive an apology for THEIR mistake. I was completely disappointed with the entire experience and will not return. Cons: Horrible Service, Rude Staff more

just awful 11/29/2005

We saw St. Angelo's listed as the best pizza in Atlanta on this site so thought we'd try it out. What a mistake. We waited over an hour for our pizza and when it was finally brought to the table, it wasn't the right order - we tried the white pizza and it had no feta, spinach, tomatoes. SO DISAPPOINTED. Cons: terrible service more

Definitely on my list to do again.... 10/5/2005

Listen, I took the advice to try this place out and I'm glad I did. I must admit, I didn't visit but instead had delivery. The driver was late, but apologized and gave me $10 off the order. How many places would be honest and do that? PLUS the pizza and wings were good, so you know this place is getting my money again. I appreciated the honesty from the driver, that alone gets my business. more

Worth the Drive!! 7/12/2005

I have eaten at St. Angelo's several times. I travel from Decatur (approx 20-25 mins. away) just to eat their pizza and wings. Their prices are reasonable and the food is excellent. Pros: inexpensive Cons: small eating area more

Just Like Home 6/15/2005

Nice Delicious Impressive Just a few words that I would use to describe the food at St. Angelo's. I spent many years in Italy eating their wonderful pizza and have always been searching for that style pizza here in the states. Eating a pizza at St. Angelo's is just like eating a pizza on Via Aurelia. Wow true Italian pizza in the states. My wife is from Buffalo and the wings at St. Angelo's are just like eating at Frank and Teresa's. My girls loved the place and the service was wonderful. Thanks for the great meal. 78 Pros: Nice, Delicious, Impressive Cons: 78 more

Freshest Salad Anywhere. 6/14/2005

They Shred their salad every day. All their veggies are fresh, every day. Can't beat their House Dressing, or their Balsamic Vingarette. Their half is enough for two people, and their whole will feed an entire family. more

Fantastic 6/12/2005

What a great place for get-togethers after a ball game or any function, and you can sit outside on a nice day. The pizza is great and the sauce is the best part. I'm usually not a fan of wings in general, but their wings are very good. It's in a very nice part of town. You can shop in Vinings and stop in for pizza or have it delivered to you. more
