I will never understand why Squirrel's is popular. It's one of those kind of bars where the people there and the owners try and act like it's a mellow, friendly bar, a little hippie hang-out, but the staff and many of the patrons are really judgmental and have bad attitudes that are just under the surface of their superficial smiles. It seems like the people who work there are a lot of the customers judge you based on how you look before you even open your mouth or get in the door and if they don't like something they have a really snotty attitude. I have had friends who got kicked out for no good reason, even if they aren't making a lot of noise or falling all over the place or looking for trouble. If the staff doesn't think you look ""hipster"" enough they'll give you dirty looks most of the night and just wait until you slur a word so they can yank your drink out of your hand and throw you out. The only thing the place has going for it is that the building is pretty cool.
Pros: The building is pretty cool
Cons: Bad attitudes. Elitist, judgmental people
