Attended an event here on Father's Day and it was a wonderful affair. The buffets were well stocked and the food was fresh and attractively displayed.
Only had one problem with the orange juice fountain which was foamy and kind of scary looking. Like some sort of undersea monster that was disintegrating. That aside, the mountains of fresh shrimp more than made up for it.
The lovely ponds are stocked with enormous koi and some cute swans swim around near the bridges. It's a cheesy, retro, and romantic getaway that makes you feel a bit like you are visiting Frontierland you-know-where.
Bottomline: Be prepared to have fun and don't be surprised if you run into a famous country singer or two... this place is a famous stop on country tours.
