The philosophy of Tift Regional Medical Center is based on the belief that the primary and fundamental purpose of the hospital's existence is to serve the health needs of the patient as well as those of the community.
The Hospital Authority of Tift County has the complete legal and moral duty and responsibility to see that Tift Regional Medical Center renders an adequate range of services that includes preventive, inpatient and outpatient services; to see that these services are delivered with a consistent, high level of quality; and, to ensure the hospital's financial viability and cost effectiveness.
The hospital also strives to assist in the provision of an adequate number of primary care and specialty physicians in the region in order to facilitate access to healthcare services. Insofar as Tift Regional Medical Center is a regional referral facility serving the healthcare needs of many citizens in South Central Georgia, the Hospital Authority recognizes its responsibility in a multi-county region. The hospital is expected to adopt new and innovative methods of healthcare delivery consistent with the identified needs of the region.
